An idea I've had is to remove the spirit shield and holy elixir and instead add special one-time use hammer and gauntlets. You need both to add sigils on to the DFS so as to keep DFS alive post SS petscape is bestscape

i don't know why people want a questrequirement. they all seem to be scared they won't be avle to make as much money as they would if only the high levels could, meaning they only think about themselves. what about give everyone a chance on getting drops and earning some money, high levels already made money from gwd and now make them the only one to profit from corp? Give everyone a fair chance, if they can't handle it and die it means they aren't good enough yet but if a low lvl knows how to play runescape i would give him a chance to profit from new content too.

was kind of scared that this might be the return of the overpowered chaotics and Turmoil.. was relieved when I read that this isn't so thank you :)


IMO this would be a good add-on, but I do suggest that you do not implement the spirit shields, instead, have a 75+ Range weapon drop as the rarest drop in the game. Or how about a new pair of boots or gloves requiring 70+ Def and giving stats better than that of barrows gloves

Exactly. Anything less than the original won't be worth the time of effort. A helm is a joke for corp to dr, add-ons have never worked (check tentacle and vine whip for proof), and this trend of "equal or lower than" when it comes to the stats of new content will lead to this update being a failure. It would be sad if the hardest boss in the game ends up being dead content :(


Yup Corp will end up like the wildy spider boss now that they removed the safespot everyone was using. Wildy spider boss isn't profitable killing it the normal way. I'd suggest Jagex hiring someone who understands how to bring balance when making a drop table coz whoever does the job currently is way off.

Its scary when hearing the OSRS jmods talk about replacing spirit shields with other items coz the items they suggest would totally make corp dead content. Hire to the team whoever did the original corp drop table because it was perfectly thought of. The time vs reward couldn't have been any better for the time. I'd imagine this guy would fix all the wildy boss drop tables no problem. I mean you don't give 5 bosses all the dragon pickaxe... Mining isn't even popular for grinding to high level.

I'm sure the Mods are quite capable of designing drop tables. The issue is that they have to tread on thin ice not to upset the community, whom seem to be agains a lot of higher tier armour and weapons.

If / when Corporeal Beast is released I'd vote to keep them the same. Personally I think the shields were fine stat / effect wise, them on their own were not that "overpowered", that really only came into effect once you started to stack them with Nex armours, Chaotic Weapons, Curses, and Summoning. So the shields themselves were okay.

Also about the drops for Coporeal Beast, it would be nice to see a new Amulet with similiar stats to the Fury(possibly the same, with an added 2+ prayer bonus), and the ability to tele from anywhere in the wildy back to Edgeville, providing you are not tele blocked.

Let's stop fearing "over powerful" items. By adding armor and consumables to balance them, we can begin to introduce a new generation of PvM. As is, Oldschool is way too easy. I can solo every single boss in game and multiple times at that. Is it not time to move on? My proposal:

-All Spirit Shields as introduced in the original update. (No nerf.)
-Corporeal Beast pet.
-Dark Energy Core pet.
-Dragon/Draconic Warhammer: may be similar in effect to the Statius Warhammer or a new and unique effect.
-Elite Clue Scrolls
-Tomb of Healing: Offhand book that has a time based effect of converting 1 prayer point to 1-4 hitpoints. (Effect can be improved upon by other player feedback.)


Think of this as opportunity. A game can only be so fun without challenge within its presentation. Nothing at this time makes Runescape challenging, only time consuming. Is it not time to introduce the future? Or should we fear the consequences and bash it every time it is within question?


I agree with your proposals and great idea with the "Tomb of Healing." This would give players more of a motivation to train Prayer beyond level 70.

You're 100% right when you say we can't be afraid of items being "over powered" because if the difficulty level of the game stays the same then where is the challenge for high level players? :@
