I think the Dawn Lanterns are not functioning correctly. (Dusk Lamps are working fine)
It currently has the following skills highlighted on the selection screen: Ranged(88), Runecrafting(89), Slayer(93), Dungeoneering(90), and Invention(83).
I don't know why slayer is one of the options since Summoning(89), Hunter(92), Attack(93), Strength(93), and Magic(90) are all lower exp.
Am I possibly misunderstanding something or is this a bug?

Blackwing isnt toxic, if anything he is right.
Constantly bashing a 20 year old game that has more content than 99% of the games out there? I 100% guarantee Runescape would not be up and running without mtx. He/she has almost nothing nice to say about the game or its creators, when he/she plays more than most of us here. Word of mouth is huge, and people like blackwing are a huge reason why Runescape is not as populated as it should be, RS3 is a great game, MTX is what keeps both Oldschool and RS3 running.Butthurt people like blackwing are just creating roadblocks to new people enjoying the game.
"MTX blah blah blah, this game sucks but i still have 2bil + xp."
such a loser.
1 person posting on forums isn't going to make new players not join. If they don't join then it means they don't like it.
But 4 mil of them new players joined within 6 months last year and a big share of them came from the Twitch Prime promotion with Umbral Chest, TH keys among plenty of MTX goodies.
If they join then it means they like it.
If that's true the worlds should be full of players at any time. But we don't see it. I haven't seen genuinely new player a long time, just someone alts. Where are they then?

The
treasure hunter
is great and so are these promotional events, but I would love it if players could not purchase the keys with real money. This forces the developers to nerf XP rates which makes the game more grindy for people who don't support
MTX
. It also nullifies your achievements. Either way,
I like these events and I like RS3 as a whole. Keep up the good work!

I don't think Jagex cares if you see these players. Modern players have real world things to do and have only 30 - 60 minutes a day to play games. I don't think Jagex cares if they log on 8 hours a days like bots. They only care and good for them, see, the record numbers of PAID members and the £25 mil they paid solely for TH and RC.
If they are not happy, why did they pay for membership and MTX?

Okay then, they joined, paid and vanished to thin air. There has been no increase in player count. 4 million new players would have been huge impact to it whether they play 30 minutes or 60 minutes a day. We would have seen minimum 150K players online in any given time.

They did not vanished to thin air. They are ACTIVE UNIQUE playes as reported by Jagex. They probably just spend less time in the game. Note that FIFA players show up even less in the game as they never have more than 1.5 mil concurrent users but an active player base of 145 mil. Jagex still logs over 1% in concurrent users/active users. It is still higher than FIFA's ratio.
Besides, if they join and happily pay money, Jagex is happy too regardless if they stay in the game for 30 minutes or 8 hours a day. What's the problem? Don't tell me they are not happy but still pay real money.
