Hear me out first. Making treasure hunter P2P will not only benefit Jagex in a profit sense, but it will also benefit users as well, even F2P users. Currently there are many P2P players who are complaining that some of the prizes that F2P users earn from treasure hunter are being sold on GE if they are tradable. The main problem with this is that, F2P users are getting free money in large amounts and up getting bonds quickly. Getting bonds fast is very big loss for Jagex in terms of profit, and in the end Jagex has to fish more F2P players in to membership by opening P2P areas or skills to F2P users. The last time that happened there was a massive outcry from many P2P players here and there. By making treasure hunter P2P will stop this from happening.

Also, making treasure hunter P2P will lure more F2P users in becoming members, since there are a lot of F2P users who are also addicted to treasure hunter. Taking away treasure hunter from F2P will force them into membership, JUST TO FEED THEIR ADDICTION. This would lead to more profit for Jagex at the end of the day, and more profit equals better game updates, something that all of us want.

Lastly, many F2P users are complaining about the fact that they always are ending up with members only prizes in treasure hunter, ans only a handful of those prizes are bankable.

Its not a loss for Jagex. Every bond, with the exception of a few Jagex gave away, means someone paid real money for it, before someone bought the bond for GP and redeemed it.

Jagex probably profits more if you pay for membership with bonds than if you paid with real money, because someone paid real money for that bond first, effectively paying for that player's membership who paid GP for the bond.
Hi.

Skilling outfits, cosmetics, and lamps are useful, actually

Hence why i said hardly .

It's fine as is imo, good thing this won't ever happen. Why would they turn down an extra source of money

As Avoriso said, why would they give up this income? Come on, another daily "free" key in Treasure Hunter isn't that big a lure.

And bonds are only a win-win for Jagex as Transcendent pointed out. They wouldn't have introduced them if they were a loss.

As for the outcry over giving f2p so-called "member's" content? That's a few loud individuals on these forums whose biases are well-known. Hardly a massive outcry. And it's two things that are going to f2p: (1) content that is dated and not of much use or interest to p2p but helps balance the f2p game, and (2) teasers for truly what is a draw for people to get members -- actual content . Think, Missing, Presumed Death or Priest in Peril.

The assumptions you've made for your argument don't hold up. No support.
