This limp statement doesn't seem to address any of the underlying issues and concerns of the player base.
The addition of another means of feedback neither adds transparency in terms of allocation of resources, nor can I see it helping to capture feedback from a different/wider playerbase. It's a means of placating a player base by giving them an avenue for easy complaint, which also helps save face by removing the prevalence of negative posts on reddit etc.
A second reskin of Squeal does nothing about the underlying issues, players aren't interested in devalued gameplay being represented in a different way.
Furthermore, if you want to shift the focus away from experience, you fail to justify why this could not be done in a manner that excludes the overt gambling of these chance based games. Put them in Solomon's and let people buy them. I think at this stage pound sterling flat xp boosts would be viewed as a positive improvement over an xp roulette. (There's some irony too in mentioning the high cost of graphical assets, whilst suggesting a shift to more cosmetics).
Lastly, and most presently, the statement fails to address the most singular concern: that the revenue and proceeds generated by the overwhelming mtx is not leading to high quality content. I suspect the player base would appreciate some disclosure regarding reinvestment into the game's development, as at this stage it appears as if there's a strong cash flow out of the game, with minimal monies going into current development. There are few updates, they are universally incomplete which plainly suggests a lack of allocated resources, they are poorly QA'd, and sadly they often fail to meet the player base's interests, rapidly becoming dead content.
In closing, to re-iterate my earlier statement, we neither need a new means to complain, nor resources to be spent in repackaging MTX, we would rather see some transparency regarding development, resource allocation, and investment into the game's future.
