This doesn't convince me that anything has changed. Please allow me to explain.
* With an entire system in place to support three simultaneous polls, why has the system gone unused, and why is
one poll
a substantive measure of action?
* A content rating system is a good idea, but only helps if that feedback is used effectively. What measures are being taken to ensure the feedback is cycled into future releases?
* Of course you're bringing in new development members. You
just cut your development team by over 50%
. Replacing them is business as usual, and I don't believe this is a direct response to our complaints.
* Cutting two promotions is not substantial.
* Cutting back promotions in a non-committal way ("we won't do it for at least 2 months..." ) doesn't bolster trust and support.
* A rework of Treasure Hunter is exactly what changed Squeel of Fortune into Treasure Hunter. A focus on "conveniences" doesn't sound like the direction has changed, just the form.
I'll boil it down to one question:
You are motivated to change today. Why should we believe this time it's an underlying change to Jagex's stances, and not just another temporary 6-month endeavor?
Tiles. Give them a use!

I appreciate the response, but this is nothing new.
Until some change is made and visible action is taken, no one will be sated. The th promo mentioned is only one of the many perpetrators that crossed the line. Not to mention it was frankly inexcusable that these overpowered promos continued for so long after the problem had been raised.
We've had minimal updates this calendar year ... and I'm desperately trying to scrape my brain (and the wiki) for an update that actually had a positive impact on my gameplay (Menaphos flopped and AoD isn't really my cup of tea).
The invention updates and ninja fixes were nice, and I appreciated them all, but even comparing content from 2016 to 2017, the difference in quality is night and day.
Again, I understand that the lack of new content stems from expansions failing, but the promo to actual update ratio has been nearly 8 to 1. (not to mention that honestly the expansion excuse is still a pretty awful excuse, since Menaphos should have been much better ...).
I would appreciate getting some of the QoL updates that Oldschool gets, their POH is infinitely better than ours. But instead we just get, mtx promos, delayed content, unfinished content, and poorly done content (only referring to the "major" updates such as this year's quests and Menaphos/ DotD, ninja and tapp are almost always greatly appreciated).
Anyway, at this point only seeing action taken will satisfy me, and I just hope we see actual change very soon. The upcoming updates have been pushed back for weeks, months and in some cases years, so good luck with that.
Well, thanks for the honesty, I suppose. At least you're not arrogant like Blizzard in that respect. Really, you do tend to communicate better than most other gaming companies. Nintendo trudges on as if supply outrage over the NES miniclassic and SNES miniclassic never happened, so at least you're doing far better than they are in that regard.
As for what's going on, I really can't say it's our job to be positive and attract new and lapsed players: it's your's. That's on your marketing team. If you really want to draw people into RuneScape, then you need to make it look better than games like WoW and ESO, and part of that is literally with the game's appearance and functionality.
You need to fix the server tick issue pronto. You also need to basically rebuild the game engine from scratch. That'll also pave the way for a better graphical engine. NXT client is a good direction, but it's not enough. Runescape is still majorly regarded as a the "kid's MMO" because it is just not aesthetically on par with other MMOs.
People laugh when they hear you "play RuneScape." I stopped telling people I play this game years ago because of all the ridicule that still persists to this day. We need to stop beating around the bush on this one. People think RuneScape is a joke. Prove them otherwise. Blow their minds. Build a better game engine. Build a better graphical engine. Make the world bigger. Get rid of the top-down motion and go all in on WASD and mouse-click movement. RuneScape is stuck in the early 2000's still. Bring the game up-to-date in 2018.
OSRS is the game for the nostalgia kids. Don't let the main game sink because of that. If the main game looks good and has lucrative features, it
will
draw in players and make RuneScape a real competitor in the market.
Here, I'll give you this strawberry if you keep it a secret!
What was the main issue with prize pool? Was it really THAT much different than the average promo, wouldn't say so myself. O well. Looking forward to the rework. Hope there will be more cosmetic and less xp related promos.
Feel free to take a look at my suggestions:

How about dealing with the Twitch BS? Over-reliance on a service which works in only a few countries is absolutely ridiculous, and bordering on racist considering how many countries exist in the world. Believe it or not, there is more to the world than the USA, Canada, UK and Germany. God, they don't even support the entire of Europe.
Why is it a problem? Because Amazon don't like equality too much. They made their name by forcing the little guys out of business. Amazon (and therefore twitch) don't give a damn about the people. It's a problem, because all the Twitch promotions you're doing aren't available to most of the world. And the ones that are (watch Runescape streams to receive free goodies), you can't even do because Runescape refuses to connect to the twitch account. Errors every single time when trying to link my accounts.
I'll be honest. I have no idea how they're "over-relying" on Twitch, how using Twitch is "bordering on racist," or how any issues Amazon & Twitch may have are Jagex's fault or problem? As for the Twitch promotions, I'm assuming you're talking about the legendary pet you could get with having Twitch Prime? If so, that was one single promotion, not multiple (unless I missed one which would surprise me since I pretty much live on Twitch), and Jagex has no control over who does and doesn't have access to Twitch Prime. It was a business decision to partner with Twitch. Not every business decision a company makes is going to be all inclusive. Plus, it wasn't all that difficult to get ahold of a code even without Twitch Prime.
As for the error you've gotten when trying to link your accounts, you should try getting ahold of @JagexSupprt or something so they can help you figure out the issue. Your post seems to be just an angry rant at Jagex for using a service (Twitch) you don't like/agree with due to no fault of their own. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. <3
