Dilbert, I didn't "admit" anything regarding the 10 free TH keys. I simply pointed out everyone got 10 free TH keys the same day Jagex told us how they were punishing some players who got a lot of free keys by exploiting Loot Duels, which was also the same day you insisted TH keys had never been 75% off. I thought that was ironic.

The fact you would attribute a weasel word like "admit" to what I said, in a vain effort to somehow discredit my point, is patently absurd.

You've been constructing straw man arguments and setting them on fire, yet you think I'm steering the thread off-topic? O_o

More irony. :P

@Aslon Dak

Unless you can show when did Jagex offer 75% discount key on the Oddments Store there is really no point for anybody to continue with your baseless argument.

The 10 free TH keys are one-off gift to EVERY PLAYER at the beginning of EVERY Crystal Capsule promotion. Nobody can use this small fixed number of keys to exploit the Oddments Store endlessly.

You're just repeating yourself, and you're still wrong.

Jagex stating they are discontinuing the discounts on TH keys in the Oddments Store clearly shows TH keys were previously offered at a discount. The discounts in the store could be anywhere from 10% to 75%. Except when these sales first started, when cinder cores were on sale, the discounts would appear on three items only: Medium prismatic lamps, Medium prismatic stars, and TH keys. While I don't have a running list of which items were on sale on which days, and how much they were discounted every day - apparently, neither do you.

Based just on what I have seen, I think it's most likely the case TH keys were not discounted as often as the lamps and stars, though I do not know that for a fact, as I could have simply missed some of those sales.

What I do know for a fact is TH keys were offered at 50% or more off well before the Loot Duels exploit of late August. This very thread proves it. The OP talks about spending oddments to buy TH keys at 50% off, or 225 oddments each. This thread was created on 23 June - two whole months before the Loot Duels exploit. QED

TH keys at 50% off was not a one-time-only occurrence that went horribly wrong when players took advantage of the sale. These sales happened before, and players took advantage of them before. However, as Loot Duels is a pretty overpowered promo compared to others, those who chose to exploit this perfect storm got so greedy, Jagex had no choice but to take action. Score one for game integrity, I guess. Better late than never, right?

In one sentence, you still haven't shown anything regarding 75% oddments discounts on TH keys, and more importantly, Loot Duel has nothing to do with Rainbows End at all. Please be reminded this thread is about the Rainbow End promotion.

Please be reminded you cannot disprove something I have seen personally, as have other players. Aslon Dak: Still 'Scaping after 19 years!

Show the proof of what you see then. I know for sure you can't prove what the other players see at all.

If you insist to talk about loot duel but not Rainbows End which is what this thread is about, this is my last reply to your comment.

As with the other thread on a similar topic, the issue the thread brought up has been resolved for some time, and the thread has turned into 'The Dilbert2001 & Aslon Dak Show":
Tren said :
Thread closed as the solution for this particular issue has already been placed in game over a month ago, and there is no point in continuing the circular arguments.

"Whilst we hotfixed the solution at around 19:10 BST on Monday 24th August, we have also disabled discounts on Treasure Hunter keys in the Oddments Store for the foreseeable future. The addition of a daily item purchase cap is also being considered.

Whilst we take responsibility for the mechanics not working as intended, we do ask that in these situations (which do happen from time-to-time) you let us know if something doesn't seem right. And a big thanks for those who did exactly that this time. You can either report the bug in-game, or let one of our team know directly (and privately) on Twitter, Reddit or Discord."
