From 00:00 UTC on 26th April until 23:59 UTC on 30th April , stock up on smouldering lamps and light a fire under your XP gains.

If you're not familiar with these beauties, they award XP like an ordinary lamp, but also convert up to the same amount of Bonus XP into regular XP . That means you'll benefit from it immediately.

Use your smouldering lamps on skills that you've got plenty of Bonus XP in to get the most out of them.

What is Treasure Hunter?


Treasure Hunter is playable from within RuneScape, allowing players to use Keys to claim in-game items as prizes. These range from useful resources to rare weapons and exclusive gear.



Playing Treasure Hunter is simple - click the treasure chest icon that pops up when you log in. If you've not played before, just follow the on-screen guide.



Everyone gets at least one Key per day, and RuneScape members get two. You can earn more Keys while playing the game, or stock up by redeeming Bonds.



If you'd like more, you can also buy Keys on the website , or by clicking 'Buy Keys' within the Treasure Hunter interface in-game.

Pathetic, utterly and completely, absolutely pathetic.

24/7 promos again, constant overpowered XP-selling. Your promises in your monentisation statement like broken, crumpled, smashed and forgotten.

Confidence in your from your playerbase stands at an all-time low as your greed continues to show no bounds.

Watch me refuse to even open TH again while this idiotic promotion runs. Know that your continued greed will kill off this game eventually and will drive Mobile to failure.

But of course, neither you, the MTX team, nor the shareholders that control you and don't give two figs about gaming or the players, really will care, will you?

Honestly, it's shameful. This is why players put up with an inferior outdated 11 year old version of this game; because this kind of stupidity is not thrust down their throats constantly, because that Dev team does not lie to the players constantly.

Simply remove TH and people might start taking RS3 seriously again.

Yeah, I've been a part of both communities for quite a long time now and I like both games (except TH), and I can objectively say that the OSRS devs *show* more care for their game than the RS3 devs. RS3 devs *claim* they care, and they have entertaining livestreams sometimes, but it translates into so little in practice, and when they screw up something, they just don't want to learn to do better (see: dailyscape controversy, constant temporary event spam, TH promos, simple bugs related to the updates that the QA fails to catch but the playerbase catches pretty much instantly, etc). OSRS has its epic failures as well, like the recent W47 "massacre", but the devs are much more likely to learn from them.

I wish I could recommend RS3 to my irl friends, I really do, but in its current state, RS3 is not worth the money it asks from you. If TH was gone, and monetization remained otherwise the same (even with the membership price increase coming), it'd significantly improve the situation. > )

I'm really glad I quit now. Been eyeing RS3 since Feb(when I quit) and pretty much every other day seems to be a new MTX promo on the front page.


Still no dailyscape reductions; in fact it seems like MORE dailyscape. Very few quality updates besides patch weeks, and lack of quests/solo bosses really has put me off from this game. I just see no benefits to come back, and it's worse that you guys continue to shove promos down our throats while increasing membership cost for those who no longer or don't have the grandfather rates. you guys rly need to stop with the constant promos. i cant remember the last time i came onto the front page of runescape and was actually excited because of an update. its just been oh look another treasure hunter promo and no real updates to the game...
