But as for actual communication Mod Infinity tends to reply to these threads and respond to emails promptly. Of course, I would like to see Fergie's opinions on what could be improved as he works with a very large fansite and would have a better idea of what is needed.
I think you need to look within these forums again...

Perhaps you've had a different experience with email than I have? And, he's responded to this thread twice so far, not bad. He also has a twitter which you could try if something is urgent.
I'm with Runeaid here. I've had great response times with Infinity in email. And it's also worth mentioning that just because there's no reply, doesn't mean it hasn't been looked at.
However, overall, I would argue that it would be nice to see some more involvement and this forum develop a little bit more.

Definitely, there are some threads here without responses. That's not to say they haven't been browsed, but an additional post here and there perhaps? I feel like the real problem is perhaps the lack of "exclusive" information from Jagex? I'm just Silver but apparently the higher tiered fansites aren't getting teasers anymore?
I'm definitely an advocate of fansites being given some inside information to share, as that's always nice to share with our users.
I'm pretty disappointed by the apparent acceptance of this lack of communication that's been going on for years. I am not picking on Mod Infinity specifically, these issues existed long before he got here.
You have all said that you think we are a part of the problem for the lack of communication. I don't really understand this - we make threads that go unanswered for weeks/months, and the small amount of stickies present in this forum are never updated despite our requests.

Perhaps Jagex would be willing to give us Poll Ideas, Potential Updates, or Pre/Unfinished BTS articles (posted in this forums) for us to then relay to our users. Maybe Jagex could run a poll ONLY for fansites (which they can inform us of in this forum).
Do you really think so? What happened to all of the things that I listed in my first post? They completely disappeared. The things you listed would only suffer the same fate, though I doubt they would ever happen in the first place. They simply do not have enough time to get feedback from fansites.
Concept art/teasers are shared on social media and videos as a default now, so giving them to fansites would no longer be an exclusive, though I'm always happy to promote fansite events, competitions, etc and go above & beyond that where possible too!
This pretty much sums up that they are not interested in being personal or exclusive with us anymore.
A few of you have mentioned Mod Infinity's response time to emails. I have only sent him a handful, and they were all answered quickly. That is nice and dandy and all, but what about the fansite forum being completely dead on Jagex's end?
In the end, I still do not see the purpose of continuing in the fansite forum or program. Actually, the answers thus far have made the entire fansite program seem even more useless. (Also Runeaid - I'm not a "he". (; )

Maybe my post came off a bit wrong due to how much I would like the Fansite Staff Forums to have more of a use. Although you say Infinity does look a emails and I will agree yes he does and he is doing a excellent Job in that. But my main concern is the Fansite Staff forums which I know I would love to see more active and more of a push to use it and really build history within these forums. Currently there is no really big push (not blaming anyone), but as much as I look into these forums it is always silent and as Fergie Angel its getting to a point where it does not have no real reason.
I can only point out my views of things which might be bias to some but that is just my view... I know one of my reasons for being apart of Fansite Staff Forums is to learn and get help where ever I can when it comes to Running a Fansite or getting information on how to pull information from RuneScape which can be helpful for my Fansite content.
But while being apart of these forums I really wish to grow closer friendship with other Fansite Staff I don't know how far I am with that... But when I 1st joined that vision I had was not what I though it was.
But I hope that all change soon and we as fansite owners/staff have a more open connection with Jagex...
It may be best to outline in bulletpoints what you guys want this Forum to be, then I can work with you to make it an ideal place for you all. Initially, in my eyes, it is a place for fansite staff to arrange multi fansite events, competitions and more. As well as discuss fansite issues together.
If you want me to make a 'thread response guarantee' where I reply to every topic made in this forum, even if it's to just say I've read it, I'm happy to do that if it's something you guys would value.
Looking forward to your feedback, but for now e-mail is the best way for rapid, personalized responses and the dedicated threads for promotional support.
I haven't been part of the fansite staff forum long but from what I have seen response times and promotion for fansite events/content is dealt with real quick. I'v always had my emails responded to in about a day for most cases.
As I said I haven't been here that long so I can't 'really' judge or throw my major 2 cents in but from what it 'seems' we are lacking is communication with each other I guess... I know someone said a few posts back about Jagex majorly supporting one fansite at the moment (RuneZone I'm taking a guess at) but I believe that is because they are a platinum fan site and have a lot of features everywhere else seem to lack.
All I'm trying to say is instead of all the criticism we should be working on ways to help Jagex improve the fansite program... like what was that I read about Skype calls or something ? I think that would be a great idea getting all the fansite staff and a few Jagex Mods together one night a month even to talk about all things fansite (Timezones could be a big problem though :/ )
I like the idea of some sort of 'exclusive' content for fansites though for the community...
Anyway there's just my few thoughts... Sorry for any offence caused as I seem to have that effect while talking :/ haha
As Infinity mentioned above, I'd be really interested to see what you'd like to get from this forum.
This forum is for general supports too, so not just Jagex & your site, but you guys as admins lending an ear to your fellow admins of other sites.
If that doesn't work for you guys, that's fine too. I'd rather see a forum being used then just have pointless threads that people don't want to use.
I don't think the forum will ever be a bustling hub of activity as I don't think there are enough of you with access to make it so. So it's more of an information hub where you can get and give information.
So what do you want it to have that it doesn't have already?
Looking forward to reading your suggestions.

+1.
I'm personally a bit short of ideas myself... to me it has also been mainly seen as a 'information hub' as you said.
I still think it would be a good idea though if we could get some sort of video chat or live chat up for fansite Admins and Jagex staff where we could just pop on whenever to talk or organize specific fansite meetings with Jagex (Mod Infinity or other CM Mods) to discuss stuff. I'm not sure how well this went in the past with timezones and Jagex working times though... But it would be something I'd be willing to give a go
