The giant mole is Zamorak. The most powerful mole and the most most powerful Mahjarrat. coincidence? I think not.

Zamorak wasn't at the bottom of Daemonheim, he was underneath Wyson's garden for the past few thousand years. Since he is part mole, he wasn't affected by the edicts.
