It is probably Zaros. It would be cool if it was Guthix. It would be even better if it was the Sixth!! But what if it was the voice speaking was the same voice that talks through the Strange Glowing Orb??? Now wouldn't THAT be something? :O
To those cursed by war and pest, Come into the light of Armadyl and rest. This is the law of Armadyl.

Has anyone considered the malevolent entity that speaks through the strange red glowing orb?

Oh, laughing out loud. I didn't see that the post right before mine did. Well, the point still stands!

I've been pretty interested in the shuffling of the game's overall main villain since WGS to tell the truth. So far, it's been Lucien -> Dragonkin -> Sliske -> Sliske's master, plus the Elders and Xau Tak waiting in the wings as well. Was all this planned from the start, I wonder?

Sliske's master is a being even more malevolent than any proposed thus far. An unfeeling monster, his heart dead to love and empathy; A cruel deceiver and murderer; A bane on the living.

As to his name, it is Vanstrom. Vanstrom Klause.
The Asgarnian ale must flow.

So, whoever this master is, Jagex decided to make their dialogue orange.

Which god do we know that has the color alignment of orange?

Zaros is gold and purple...
Zamorak is red and black...
Armadyl is amber/blue/gold
Jas is vanilla

Could it possibly be the Queen of Ashes?!
I worship Mah, for she is mah homegirl! The correct adjective for Mah's followers are: Mahomies, Mah-homeboys, or Mah-homegirls.

Do you really think you can save them, World Guardian? You can't. There is a shadow of Bane following your every step. And this is Xau-Tak.

Lol, no it isn't Xau-Tak. I have no idea who it is. It's not Xau-Tak, it's not an Elder God, it's not Zaros.. and I don't see Sliske making himself subservient to anything less than a Tier 3 'young god.'

Maybe it's someone pretending to be a god? If that bear-suit guy could do it, then....
Sliske would NEVER fall for that. You know he'd test them in some way, and unless they're a god, they'd probably fail the test.

I think when considering Sliske many people are forgetting the true nature of the mahjarrat. Everything we have suggests that mahjarrat will at least pretend to follow whoever is the most powerful. Sliske is not above this; in fact, he was literally the first Mahjarrat to defect from Tumeken to Zaros when the time came. However, we also have some suggestion from the Mahjarrat memories miniquest that Mahjarrat care less about who is the most powerful, and more about who can offer them the most gain individually. Sliske would certainly (at least pretend to) be subservient to someone else if they were to, oh, I don't know, reveal secrets of the Staff of Armadyl unknown to anyone else and help him locate the most powerful elder artefact there is...

Right.. so now Sliske has the Siphon and the Catalyst. For what purpose does he need this master now? He has all the tools to be the most powerful mortal being to ever live, a God amongst gods. Obviously, Sliske is serving them for a purpose aside from that.
