Safalaan and Vanescula.

Veliaf noted that Safalaan's most consistent trait was one of faith - not in gods, but in the cause of the Myreque.

Vanescula is pretty powerful and also intelligent and manipulative. She does not like losing battles.

Third one is, Hazelmere. Probably the purest soul who died while helping the cause of stopping Lucien. Manish, the biggest runescape fan! :)

Ariane, Ozan, Sir Owen, The Raptor, Linza, and Xenia are the "Signature" heroes.

I believe Dionysius and Zanik would qualify as "Legendary" heroes.

And, of course, the "Mysterious Stranger" (as the book at the Ardounge Outpost calls them; i.e. - the Player) is supposed to be the seventh Signature hero.

I agree with Arrav! I mean, there is ***LITERALLY*** a legend about his life and deeds! And your character actually meets and interacts with him. You help him! You fight alongside him! In not just one, but ***TWO*** different dimensions/realities!!!! And, finally, you help him achieve his well earned hero's rest, for gods' sake!

It doesn't get more "legendary" than that!

I don't think Ariane is iconic although Jagex might have wanted the signature heroes to be iconic but they didn't really shine.

However, I won't rule out they are beefing Ariane up as she apparently have inhaled something from killing the Elder's mouthpieces. Subsequently she was able to sense the anima leaked by Trindine to locater her. Ariane maybe mutating into a superhero. :D

I feel like Ariane was meant to be like an advertising mascot for RS. I remember when she was on the RS site to promote dungeoneering:

I don't think she even had a name back then. For the longest time I could remember, she was on the login page:

and I think I might have even seen her on a membership card (this was pre RS3, so quite a while ago).

Then Jagex introduced the signature heroes, and...did nothing with them.

It's a shame, I feel like Linza would've been great for the smithing update. Too bad they killed her off :(
