Just pointing out. I miss the way the Lore forums felt when Pringles Guy was fighting Papa Smurf. People were heated (not really mean, well maybe sometimes), and the discussion was electric. I haven't seen any of that through the other two World Events, or with any lore release since.

Where are you people? What are you doing these days? Where's that chick who was crazy about Saradomin? Where's the people throwing age-old lore back and forth about their favorite of the two? Where are you passive aggressive folks who subverted the conversation with your "I really think both of them suck and I like so-and-so"?

There's just not as much fire in the forum these days. Come on, spruce it up!

Those were dark times. I think I speak for most of us who were present during that time period that its not something that we would like to rekindle.

Seriously, the amount of crap everyone went through was enough for most of us.

...But to your questions:

1. A lot of those people are now inactive. A lot of others simply stopped using the Lore Forums out of protest of the climate.

2. The lore we talked about is depleted, old and run its course.

3. subversives: see 1.

We fought too hard to create a peaceful atmosphere on the forum. I for one refuse to revert to such a primal state -_- -Ascertes, King of all the Hallowlands and the Everchosen of Saradomin.

Activity is good, toxicity is not. See the final page or so of the "Saradominists should be Weary(sic)" thread, and all the hidden/removed posts.

Not sure who you're talking about, but there are some pretty opinionated people around here, including a particular Saradominist (and a Zarosian or two that like to troll him).

Still, I'd rather not go back to that nastiness. That wasn't lore discussion, it was "my ~~dad~~ god can beat up your ~~dad~~ god" level nonsense.

Lore is being put into the game at a slower pace, and a lot of it is less conducive to factioneering, hence less drama.

Being toxic over something like BoL is extremely stupid. It's a game. It should cause so much hate. And the Zamorakians who were being toxic, were hell bent on destroying everything. The same way with Bandos. But that just isn't the case anymore. Zamorak probably has more followers than Saradomin now after we learned about them more. I mean Saradomin came in last and was outranked by everyone else by a pretty good margin in World Event 3.

We don't need that kind of crap again. It was stupid. What we knew about Zammy and Sara then is vastly different now. Come the Sixth-Age, the world will need the World Guardian.

I thought this thread was about missing the BoL World Event, and I was gonna say that I think it would be fun if we could use the Enchanted Key on the Crater, and go back in time, and just mess around in the crater during the battle for like, 5 mins.

Besides that, yea, it would be cool if more people used the forum.

Extreme faction dram drove a fair few people into their shells, the dram was bad enough that some people abandoned the in game chats, which is just one step from abandoning the game, an unfortunate consequence. Even with them coming back the bad old days are what they remember and colours everything they see today. That makes getting people to actually post in the forums a chore.

It's not exactly the easies place to get into either. While I have no idea bout Facebook forum login I do know the you can not log into the forums using Google+ at least it has always failed when I try with my alt. You have to sneak in through in game options like visiting the high scores page or opening the lobby news articles. It's either that or you have to log in manually separate from the game, logging in twice is annoying.

A lot of people also seem to have gone over to places like Reddit, something which I spent several weeks trying to understand the working of, as an outside observer, which frankly seemed to have an organisational method based on likes and down votes by others. From the outside to my mind it's a confusing mess, one which I decided to avoid, I don't need the brain ache trying to find things.

At the end of the day I don't miss the more vicious bashing but I do miss the activity on these forums. Too many are just reading things but not logging in or posting. The purpose of adventure is to shine light into dark places,

I'm with Ascert on this. We don't need another toxic-big-talk-insulting-battle on the forums, it's all ready worse how some people can be so fed up about pixels and all.

I admit, i took part in it, dunno how much and how bad and for what ( ,it's my shame and one of my many regrets). As far i care, i prefer to forget it like it never happend. I do admit i like threads about it, but ones the insulting and all happens, then you know it goes to far.

But, talks like this always happens in games and forums (like on Skyrim forums; Imperials vs Stormcloaks who's right/good/evil?)

We need another World Event that is similar to BoL or BatB those were so fun and the mechanics were amazing and really got us enveloped in the gameplay.

I hope we can another World Event soon and they havent given up on them. Supporter of

I would personally love another World Event. But I agree with the consensus, BOL times were not the fondest of times, but hey ho, why cry over spilled milk.

As for future World events, like I just said I would love them but I feel like they should be Everyone VS Common enemy like Tuska was.

AFAIK remember most people behaved themselves because all they could really argue over was who would be the ones to land the killing blow, and not many upsets or falling outs can arise from that. Usually.

But yes, More world events would be grand. Xau-Tak sealing anyone?
