So what you and Paladin are telling me is that the majority of EfficencyScape players don't give two shits about lore, minigames, or events except for the rewards? Tell me something I don't know. One more reason to put any major plot decisions in quests rather than leaving it to the kind of people who grind out 200mil XP in a skill.

Versus world events are terrible ways to move the plot forward. Either you let the masses decide the story no matter if the arc makes sense, or Jagex rigs things from the start. Example: I hated Bandos, but he pretty much got unceremoniously thrown under the bus. It was obvious that he'd lose against pretty much any faction you set him against, let alone Armadyl (only Zaros or Godless would have been more overkill). I doubt Jagex ever makes a World Event without taking data first, only going forward with it once the probable outcomes matches what they want (they made Armadyl's winning cutscene pretty much from the get go for BatB). Besides laziness, more naunce in player opinion may be why we don't see zero-sum world events anymore, Jagex simply wouldn't be able to predict the outcome.

Furthermore, Bandos had zero sympathetic traits and no character arc of his own (the story was about his followers and victims, never him). Don't expect ANY more gods to die until their storylines are complete (meaning Zaros/Seren not until Elder Gods finishes if ever, Saradomin has to deal with the Sir Owen questline and whatever's up with his daughter, Armadyl needs to have something, ANYTHING of his own, Amascut and the desert questline etc.).

As to the Black Knights getting healed more, maybe that's because they were losing and thus needed it more?

(I would enjoy some new events like Falador Invasion or another World Event, but idk what God's would be appropriate for another one.
