I always thought it was nice in the past when we had threads to discuss quests. So I guess this is kinda an unofficial discussion thread. An attempt to revive the forum.

Some talking points from the quest:

- Kerapac's no longer albino, he's blue! And an antagonist. AND the new master of the Needle.

- There's a place called Orthen, "First City", that's the first city the Dragonkin made on Gielinor before Guthix arrived. Kerapac's headed to it and something called "the crucible".
* Vicendithas thinks it's a myth, which probably means there has to have been several generations of Dragonkin in this revision, enough for the city to fall into myth.

- Charos is Reldo. Reldo is Charos. The timid librarian we all know was just a mask, but he was a nice man to be. Charos is a skilled enchanter, has a fancy arm, and apparently thinks immortality is easy (but he won't go into the details).

- Bandos wasn't banished without a fight. It seems the scene from Bandos's memory might just be the last confrontation in a war that lasted years. Can't help but think this is a nod to Armies of Gielinor.

- Zamorak had gotten the Infernus beaten out of him when Guthix came to banish him. They all hated him.

- Saradomin and Armadyl were wise enough to leave without a fight.

- Sliske killing Guthix was an inside job.

- Seren was born millions of years ago. We've seen Zaros use the word "aeons" before, but that can be used pretty generically to just mean a long time.

- Some new Dragonkin words. Roakin seems to refer to the Elder Gods. Personally, I assume Roake means curse and that, since "kin" is a suffix applied to beings the Dragonkin consider intelligent, that its literal meaning is something like "The Ones who Curse" or "Cursed Ones". But I haven't kept up with the whole Dragonkin language thing.

- Bunch of stuff from the council chamber. Zilyana knows about Garlandia, Fremennik have fields of hops for all their ale-drinking needs, Aviansie like munching on seeds etc.
-
I have noticed your kind does tend to blindly stumble forward towards danger simply because it exists. What is your word for that?
- We call it being a hero.

- Orthen sounds really cool, I wonder what exactly lives there? Is it abandoned? Dragonkin don’t seem to have the population to hold a city in its traditional form?

- So exactly how strong is Kerapac now? He has the staff and absorbed the power of the needle... making him extremely danersous.

- Finally, Kerapac has a ton of potential to be a really cool villain, dare I say the best RuneScape has had? Looking forward to where he goes.

Great Quest! I Love quests its why I started playing the game. I had a good time playing this quest. There were a few glitches but all in all it was really well done as usual imo. I always love the quests no matter how long or short.

Love the comedy Dusty Lusty book input. Was funny. I had a nice belly laugh on that one. I also enjoyed the combination of Graphic Drawings, current active game graphics. And the content was very interesting. Seeing all of the NPC's gathered kind of reminded me of GOT currently. Only RS style.

Hated seeing Guthix Killed again. I always felt sorry for him for some reason. So I was mad about Kerapac and wanted to punch him in his ugly nose. LOL. And felt so sorry for Gail and I really knew this wasn't going to turn out well for anyone except the Dragonkin. Yes, I can see the development of Kerapac doing some nasty things in the future. The Needle skips was for me one of the best quests if you are into content and paying close attention to all aspects of the quests. The music, the storyline, all of it I loved dearly. Call me a nerd. LOL

Absolutely loved the area where you explored the Gods. The Design was spot on cool brew view. That was one of the best design color combos ever.

The art design team went over and above on this one. I don't follow guides unless I get stuck and there were just a few times I had to go look for what was wrong. I had a problem in one of the 3 spots with the slide puzzle. The letters didn't work in the machine and I had to tele out and come back in to get a new puzzle. One of the very few places where I got stuck. There was a scimitar, a diamond ring, Jade ring and a Curry. I entered SDJC. Tried other combos and nothing worked probably a glitch.

I hope we get to see a quick return on this current situation to rectify what happened.

Thank you for another piece of interesting content.

So one thing I thought about after this quest is that despite Kerapac played the villain this time, he's actually... right.

His methods are often ruthless and brutal, but his motives are always pragmatic. The Elder Gods are eldritch all-powerful beings, outright killing them seems to be more sensible than putting everyone at their mercy trying to appease them.

On the other hand, Seren's idea is just... silly, or rather naive. Building a garden to impress beings that built planets? She said that this would make the Elder Gods see mortal lives as more than food for their eggs. Well, imagine one day the food in your fridge built a mini house or something, will you stop eating them when you and your kids are hungry?

Also, Kerapac's plan doesn't necessarily have to kill everyone on Gielinor, if I'm not mistaken, he just wants to destroy the planet and the Elder Gods with it. Considering that most of Gielinor's inhabitants are brought from other realms, why can't we just evacuate as many of them as possible to their homeworld. While some home planets are no longer habitable, seeing that Yu'biusk could be suggested for the garden proposal, some effort could make it habitable again? Also, some races could share planets as Armadyl suggested to Seren in Sliske's Endgame.

Side note: Now that I think of it, many races practically uprooted their entire population to Gielinor (aviansies, vampyres, elves, Yu'biuskans, and etc). I find this somewhat disturbing, as an entire planet emptied just so that they could go to some 'paradise' world that turns out to be messy as heck.

Obviously, for gameplay reason, Jagex can't implement the 'great evacuation', but it does seem reasonable and I hope that they don't let Kerapac become Xenia 2.0.

Well, evacuating all of the beings of Gielinor to other realms would be a massive endeavor. Opening portals between realms for mass transportation would take vast amounts of power that the Gods themselves don't even have. While sacrificing Gielinor COULD be necessary, I don't think it should be plan A. You should be pushing to save Gielinor, and if you need to sacrifice it you do so as a last resort. I think Kerapac is just blinded by his anger/lust for revenge after what Jas did to his people, that he is willing to make that sacrifice from the get go.

The Elder Gods are the true threat here, not Kerapac. I hope he doesn't become the next Lucien/Sliske. Other than that, the quest was great :)
To those cursed by war and pest, Come into the light of Armadyl and rest. This is the law of Armadyl.

Why...the hell...did anyone entertain Seren's plan? To call it childish and naive is being generous. It's idiotic and shows she is no less egotistical than Zaros.

Kerapac is actually being reasonable about this, and I stand by the fact that Gielinor's truly is a stagnant hellhole for just about anyone unless you're Bandos and want something that will attract war. It's an easy choice to sacrifice it for the rest of the universe.

It's funny, really, how easy it'd be for everyone to get more or less what they want. Just remove Gielinor. Go back to their homes. Saradomin lives in his world of pure order and stagnation, Zamorak lives in his cutthroat world of chaos, the Bandosians can endlessly wage war with each other, and the elves can slowly drive the aviansie extinct as they try to live together and go deaf from their horrid squawking.
Runescape doesn't need a hero...it needs a villain. An all encompassing force of evil that will remain ever-threatening and use chaos to make the peoples of Gielinor tolerate each other, grow strong together, and fight side by side against this evil. I am that villain.

The issue is even if we wanted to leave Gielinor, mass transportation would be extremely difficult without an outside power source. The two mass teleportation stop gielinor we’ve seen were powered by Hostilius and Loarnab, two beings with god like strength and both essentially died in the process.

That was from one side of the multi-verse to the other. Not everyone needs to go that far...and nobody needs to go that far all at once. There's also the World Gate as an option.

I can't really see the World Gate as being a viable option, it's big enough to maybe fit one or two people at a time. Opening portals to new realms for Gods to travel alone seems to be doable. Doing it and trying to transport the population of an entire realm seems to be much more difficult. Not to mention the gods all came to Gielinor for a reason, this is the best planet out there. You'd rather find a way to try to defend it than just immediately concede it. Kerapac's plan should be more of a last resort than your primary plan.
