Quotes from Mod Crow on the 'Declare your allegiance!' thread, highlighting applied for emphasis. Mod Crow is the one who added the underline effect to the 'currently', though, not me.

Glad to see so many of you getting in to the spirit of the thread and deciding which god is for you (Note, Zamorak is the correct answer)! Just to clarify something, if you are looking at this thread expecting to see brand new never before revealed information then you may be disappointed.
This thread is to get everyone to start deciding where their allegiance lies now that the return of the gods is inevitable with Guthix gone.
We've deliberately only used information from the official RuneScape wiki because that shows what most people currently believe about the factions involved. Whether that will all turn out to be true is a completely different matter to be explored at a later date

Then why does this thread exist if people need to decide their allegiance, based upon lies and false information?
People join groups based upon what they've heard and what they know. Politicians are elected based on what they say and so on. Reality is that what you believe may not always turn out to be the truth and half of what makes this whole storyline so fascinating is how the Community could react to finding out that the propaganda painted a slightly different story.

No offense, either you make an objective allegiance thread or none at all. If Jagex is into gods and such, no problem but throw all cards on the table and give us the full story.
Sorry you are not happy with the information but this thread is to get the community excited and involved based on the information they currently have. If you want to wait for the 'truth' then you're welcome to do so, but for those who are prepared to get involved and on their gods 'good side' early this thread is here to join.
Original message details are unavailable.
Also, how official is the wiki if anyone can edit it? I can edit the Godless faction and make them look like a psychotic, maniac antitheists and you would just copy it word for word.
We won't be changing the text in this thread.
So that you are aware, this was all pre-reviewed by the lore team and they are happy with the information on display.
Again, it won't list all the truth's and secrets of the gods and factions but then that's for you to wait and find out.

Will this thread be updated when new info comes out about 1+ gods like if Armadyl is a blue jay Aviansie?
Afraid not. This thread is for getting involved in the gods before RuneScape 3 launches rather than as a one stop place to get involved with your deity.
We encourage our players to create their own god support threads once the gods realise Gielinor is ripe for the picking

@Mod Crow
I'm wondering if all the information you post about the Gods are the iron factual truth? Or is it just another interpretation?
The information provided is the information that is most commonly believed. Whether that information is actually true is for future events to reveal

As for your request for dates on my quotations, all of them are from after The Death of Chivalry—The initial quotes all come from a Q&A the JMods held on 15th August, 2013, shortly after The Death of Chivalry came out.
The later quotes, from after the Q&A, all have dates.
In response to your other request, I'm afraid this is a thread for JMod quotes, not player commentary—You'll notice I don't have any comments from pro-Saradomin players, or even any comments of my own writing.

Saradomin wants the world to acknowledge that he is the best protector of the world, and the other gods should be cast out so that he can look after the world. He believes that in this way, mortals won't have to worry about the conflict of the gods.
After the God Wars he retreated to the world of the Icyene, no longer able to return to Gielinor due to the Edicts of Guthix. While banished he focused on building his relationship with the Icyene, all the while looking for other ways back into the world.
"Guthix was right, Gielinor is better off without its gods. I will not leave you, not again, but I will not lead you."

The point is that on that thread, Mod Crow himself emphasised that the information he posted on the thread is 'what most people currently believe', was liable to not be the truth, and that they wouldn't update it to account for new revelations.
We have now waited and found out like Mod Crow said.
I've also responded to your requests for dates and player comments:

Edit: Did you want me to incorporate the date of the Q&A into the opening post? If so, I didn't realise. I'll go add it now.
