Well, as you may know already, Saradomin says stuff like this at a few points in The Death of Chivalry:

Original message details are unavailable.
Saradomin: It seems that I am not unsullied by my decisions. I cannot wield the wand's full power.
Saradomin: I have made difficult choices. I have sacrificed others for my cause.
Saradomin: I believe it is for the greater good, but my actions have tarnished my soul.

Original message details are unavailable.
Saradomin: I have done...questionable things.
Saradomin: Yet I have always hoped that the ends justify my means.
Saradomin: I had hoped to use the wand to restore the centaur race.
Saradomin: I try to do what is necessary to protect my people, that they might live a life of virtue without fear.
Saradomin: ...and have no cause to dirty their hands, as I have.
Saradomin: I am sorry. There is nothing more I can do.

But what exactly are these things he speaks of? I think Jagex have at last shown us - that somehow, what happened to Garlandia was necessary to protect his people.
The Asgarnian ale must flow.

"I think Jagex have at last shown us - that somehow, what happened to Garlandia was necessary to protect his people."

That's the biggest pile of crap I have ever heard from you.

How can getting embarrassed at a meal, making people gather outside and make a public display of her getting left for dead be protecting his people?

Sure she was Bias, But have you forgotten that she had her wings torn nonetheless? She is entitled to be a little angry, wouldn't you think?

It's another blatant example of Saradomins brutal reactions to the smallest things, and nothing can excuse it. Of course people make up apologist excuses for him, like the Naragi incident that did indeed, turn out to be his fault.

We've all spoken to her, and do you think she would of started a rebellion against Saradomin? No. She isn't like Kara-meir. She expressed distaste for war and wouldn't participate in it.

Saradomin really doesn't like being "Denied" does he?

First the senseless murder of Naragi children, and now Leaving one of his favoured race for dead.

He is the shining example of why Ascendeds shouldn't exist.

Well, we didn't receive any explanation or elaboration upon what exactly Saradomin had done and who he had 'sacrificed for his cause'. Do you imagine Jagex would have kept this forever unexplained?

She may not have started a rebellion, but suppose she had been spearheading an anti-war campaign and persuading her fellow warriors to not go to war. (Going by the Book of the Gods, Saradomin took 'the warriors' to the God Wars and not civilians like Domus and Selenome.)

Now, suppose Saradomin were determined to protect his followers on Gielinor, but he needed the Icyene's help for that—and Garlandia was busily trying to sway them all to desert and refuse to go fight on Gielinor. So, in order to protect his faithful on Gielinor... He put a stop to it.

A good example of a scenario that fits Saradomin's DoC dialogue and allows room for different players to view it either as acceptable or reprehensible (rather than it being unambiguously bad), don't you think?
