It appears that Dragonkin can travel to different planes rather easily. Of course it's possible they got this power after being tied to the Stone of Jas. So who knows...

Precisely why I said that it's not confirmed yet. Given the great lengths Jagex has gone through expressing the great costs and difficulties inherent with interplanar travel, I'm inclined to believe that it came with their curse.

Conversely, the fact that Kerapac was able to create the white dragons using, in part, his own biological material who exhibit the same trait without any apparent connection to the curse leads me to believe that it is something innate to the Dragonkin species.

As Cthris is keen to point out, Freneskae existed in the previous revision of the universe. As we know from the existence of the Dragonkin, mortal life did exist in the previous cycle, so it is entirely plausible that a sentient being with a soul did die on Freneskae and became its Death.
Ah, I see. Well in that case, either there's a really bored Death hanging out there somewhere, or I would hypothesize that a dead world like Freneskae simply can't generate an afterlife or a Death to go with it. No anima = no afterlife/Death?

Or whatever afterlife there was got eaten along with the rest of the planet? Am I wrong about this? I always assumed the Elder Gods ate their way through the anima of the perfect world as they incubated/were born.

No, I'm fairly certain the Elders eat all the anima more or less at once when they wake up. Otherwise we would've been noticing a gradual decrease in anima throughout Gielinor's ages... of course, would we even be capable of noticing that? I dunno.

But that's what I meant; whatever Death or afterlife Freneskae had were destroyed when the Elders ate all of its anima.

Actually... :)

I shaped it to look like one of my elves and named it Haluned, then sent it to explore this world of Guthix's. She would be my eyes and ears. This world's abundance of anima struck me immediately but I could also feel a drain on it. There was no doubt; my suspicions had been confirmed - the creators were here.

From Seren Memoriam Crystal 06: Exploration.

That being said, the majority of the Anima-nommage almost certainly occurs upon the eggs actually hatching.

That assumes that this particular Death became Death prior to the Elder Gods eating the plane's anima, that a plane must possess Anima to have an afterlife and Death, and that a Death cannot persist after the destruction of their afterlife.

Granted if I were a nigh-immortal custodian of souls, my place of employment was destroyed, and I couldn't go anywhere else, I'd be ridiculously bored.

Hence why I used the word "hypothesize".

Given the latest lore developments, I figured it was pertinent to bump this thread.

I'm not going to update the OP right now because: a) I haven't played for a while and I will need to refamiliarize myself with everything and b) it seems there is some Orcus-related stuff in Archeology that I will need to finish grinding. But hopefully, this thread will inspire some interesting discussion that I can then add a little later.

Also, if anyone had any third-party info (Twitter/Reddit) that they deem as relevant to the topic here, please post.

Cheers!
