begins the process again.
Now he is on the precipice; he is nearing something, although it is foreign to him. Everything in his vision glows; in his mind, he has already ascended. He must be certain! He continues to draw forth the energy. Now, all is of light, he dives over the edge. The light is gone, all is darkness; this is the end, but somehow, his spirit is relieved, no more pressure, no more loneliness. He feels the closeness of his mother and sister.
Zamorak:
Zamorak is at his wits end; the entire military party has been surrounded. These are not one’s co.nventional adversaries. They knew of his plans before his greatest generals had even been told. Now the only thing keeping his forces together is their god, grown in stature, holding the enemy at bay. The cavern walls shake; the enemy forces have them.
Rocks begin to fall; he turns one eye’s gaze to the others—his allies, many, he considers, are his friends. He locks eyes with Moia, his most loyal. She cannot believe the message his gaze conveys silently from her mentor, but she will not disobey an order.
She turns to her allies and calls for the full retreat. They call out to one another, some in disbelief. The mages begin vanishing, the foot soldiers scurry for the holes and crevices, many fall. Moia cannot leave Zamorak behind, he is everything. She stands and adds her attack to his own, though she barely makes any impact on the outcome.
Zamorak snarls at her, “Leave You FOOL!”
“My master!” she calls out, tears streaming from her glowing purple eyes.
The cave breaks apart, the ceiling collapses, and both Zamorak and the foe break off their attack at the last moment.
The dust clears, Moia opens her eyes, and beholds her smashed leg pinned beneath a large stone. Her life-force is drained. Lord Zamorak has redirected his power to hold the debris from crushing them both.
His energy obviously strained, he looks towards his general. She was a fool, she had disregarded his order, and now she
