I asked about Zaros as well. My thoughts were he either died saving the world or he was obliterated by the Queen of Ashes who the fallen Nihil seems to think is going to destroy him. I have seen the dark universe yawning, where the black planets roll without aim;
Where they roll in their horror unheeded, without knowledge or lustre or name.

So far it sounds like:

Saradomin: Either dies fighting against something he considers evil...or he dies facing his own issues, depending on how you interpret the Light and Shadows.

Zaros: Dies trying, and failing, to achieve Elder Godhood. It's similar to what Jas said about a flame never being a star. Here it sounds like he's trying to mimic it, but getting overloaded just like the SoJ. Some suggest he becomes an Elder God and THEN dies shortly after, but this sadness felt suggests failure to me. The way it's worded sounds like a "sun exploding", which makes me feel like he'll be overloaded.

Seren: This actually sounds like it could be refering to her previous "death"....but I doubt it. More likely she's repeating it, realizing she's a danger amongst mortals and ending it. Depending on whether this is looking back at the past or repeating it.

Armadyl: Another suicide. He lets the ground take him and this is a death he chose as suggested by his pride.

Zamorak: Given that his company are the ones filled with sadness, it would seem that he is not killed in battle, but finally manages to finally sacrifice himself to be a mayrtr. Third time's the charm, eh? I sorta saw this one coming....

Icthlarin: Hard to tell with this one. Sounds like a fight--likely with Amascut or something related to that. I'm sure we'll learn more about it in the coming year.
Runescape doesn't need a hero...it needs a villain. An all encompassing force of evil that will remain ever-threatening and use chaos to make the peoples of Gielinor tolerate each other, grow strong together, and fight side by side against this evil. I am that villain.

Icthlarin seems to have the worst one considering Death wants to go out of his way to prevent it.

But you seem spot on with the rest.

Zaros fails

Saradomin falls fighting against internal or external foes

Zamorak sacrifices himself

Armadyl kills himself

Seren either shatters herself or perhaps SHE is the one who ascends considering Jas says she could be "more".
We sleep soundly in our beds because rough men stand ready in the night to visit violence on those who would do us harm.

I had Icthlarin following me ever since my first encounter (and making the occasional glitch shadow clone), so I didn't get to meet Death. From what I've read, I don't think we'll see the deaths of Saradomin, Zamorak, Armadyl, and Seren by the end of things. It actually sounds like Saradomin might make it to the end of time.

Zaros and poor Icthlarin sound like their deaths will be plot important. While most people are speculating about Zaros and his endgoal, I have a bad feeling Sliske/Relomia will screw over Icthlarin. While in my body, he even forced my character to lie to Icthlarin's face about hearing the laugh. Amascut's likely going to be a major player somewhere down the line. I'm kind of curious if there will be any repercussions for Death breaking his oath.

I'm now wondering what he would have said for Bandos. I feel like my legs are asleep? I got distracted staring at that cute barmaid over in Falador?

And what about Guthix, Tuska and V?

"I wake up feeling a sting on my chest"

"Bright light and then falling"

"I hate mirrors and dragonmen"
NO
I do not ship ZamorakxZaros.
I follow them. And Marimbo, the best t5 god.

"I see a light in the distance. Incredulity. This cannot be real. This cannot be happening. The light nears...And then.... fades."
"We call it being a hero"
"That's interesting, we call it utter stupidity"

Maybe it will happen inthe evil Dave quest? Maybe Dave will give him a round rock as a gift, Zamorak remembers the stone, kills himself by self destructing and blowing up edgeville and g.e and Dave will be sad. And slightly dead.

Am i the only one reading the death of Zaros/Seren as the death of them individually? Kinda sounds like their death's are opposites, but still might very well be describing the same event. Relief and joy of acceptance might very well be the unburdening of the sadness that has been weighing down Zaros. Kinda mirrors the torment that Mah was feeling as well.

Seren's
"I feel relief, the joy of acceptance. There is singing, so loud that I can barely think. My mind is on the past. "
Zaros'
"I feel a burning as hot as a star, and then a giant blackness. I feel a prolonged sadness that has come to an end. "

I feel like this lends even more credibility to that theory that they might combine to become the replacement for Mah. Kind of a reach, but to me that would still make more sense than both of them dying in completely different circumstances.
Out of the night that covers me, Black as the pit from pole to pole, I thank whatever gods may be, For my unconquerable soul.

I like the idea that Zaros overloaded, and I think that's the same for Seren. The "singing, so loud that I can barely think" especially reminds me of that, and she might be thinking of the past either because she's reminiscing, or because she's reminded of how she had once exploded.

I'd certainly be interested in the idea that Zaros and Seren could merge, but I think something like this suggests that only one of them will become an Elder God, but that ascension would also mean their deaths.
