If I could upvote this a million times I would.
A lot of the responses are "I'm gay and it's so great to see my kind represented" (as a giant furry chicken, <-- don't mind that part, it's just my commentary). I don't get that mentality TBH. Why make it all about you? The rest of us are just trying to play through and enjoy a game.
It's because of a general lack of representation. How many heterosexual cisgender characters are in the game? 90%+
So, straight people have representation in the majority.
It's just nice to have a little LGBTQ+ thumbs up. If you don't like people saying they feel represented, then ignore it. Tbh It shouldn't bother you unless you're phobic.
