So... Whether or not you agree with what happened near the end of the quest, one thing I think we can agree on is the fact that there were some lore drops in this quest. And I'd like to present some of the big ones here so we can discuss what this might mean for the future.
Lore Drop #1: Erebus. Erebus, as it was described by Azzy, is like THE afterlife. A place no one has returned from.
Lore Drop #2: Mah's Egg. Someone tainted Mah's egg, which led to her deformity and abandonment by her sisters. However, Azzy confirmed it wasn't Wen that tainted it, but someone else. Someone with the same magic as the black stones that Zemouregal used.
Lore Drop #3: The Hatching Process. Not much to say here, except the current elder gods have to touch the eggs when they're ready to hatch in order to hatch them. Also, once they hatch, the new elder gods immediately start draining the life of everything around them.
Lore Drop #4: Shadow and Light Voices. So the end result of what Sliske did to the World Guardian at the end of Sliske's Endgame finally comes to light. Whether this is all Sliske can do now or not remains to be seen. At the very least, it'll add a bit of comic relief.
Lore Drop #5: God-Summoning Ritual. Another minor thing, but perhaps something worth talking about? After all, how exactly did the ritual work in contacting Saradomin when he was on a completely different world? And could the other gods do something similar?
Lore Drop #6: Sir Owen Sonde. Another minor thing, but at least he's returned, and he's not for Zaros. It's possible we'll be able to work alongside him in the future.
Lore Drop #7: Ga'al's Observation. Ga'al Kot is at first scared of Trindine due to her not having a soul and being made of "anathema." Trindine, in response, mentions the Shadow Realm likely having rubbed off on her. Does this mean the Shadow Realm and shadow anima have a connection?
