he is still too naive for my taste, he needs to be hardened with some heavy scarring stuff

Just curious -- was the vast majority of his species (the entirety of it, for all he knew) being wiped out not heavy and scarring enough?
Clearly we need to have all aviansie be eaten by shapeshifters before he is no longer naive
NO
I do not ship ZamorakxZaros.
I follow them. And Marimbo, the best t5 god.

I think that's going a bit too far. The move would be slow, and there would be a colony to test the waters. Relocating an entire planet would take time.

It seems it did not do the trick since he is still too "good" in my opinion, too trusty. I mean, when you talk to him on his tower before SE, he says he does not know much about Seren except she supposedly has pacifist ideas like him. Yet, when he encounters her in the labyrinth, he throws the aviansies on the line about bringing them to Tarddiad when it is his only first real conversation with her. Just like he trusts Zaros easily in protecting the aviansies if he gives him the stone (Though Zaros does have a better claim as he does put his very existence on the line, as it is highly supposed the deal was also made through a Viniculum Juris)

Sure, Abbinah is in a dire state but he still seems too eager to put the fate of his species in the hands of gods he does not know well. Hence the naivety I feel.

Well, Armadyl didn't really know a great deal about Seren or Zaros since information on them is pretty discreet if you take into account the Serenists being in hiding within the anima barrier over Tirannwn (as well as info on the elves' conquest being buried in tombs that can only be entered by few), and the Zarosians being purged, causing the rest of the faction to go into hiding themselves or scrape a living as bandits.

Armadyl may have grown up in the kind of environment where everyone was in harmony anyway, so kind of started off expecting people to get along. This probably was the case on Abbinah since the aviansie may have rationed water from the core, do whatever they could to preserve themselves and their race. Even if it wasn't the case with aviansie in general (some might have fought and even killed each other for the most basic necessities in such a harsh place), Armadyl almost certainly grew up in a harmonious environment, helping take care of his tribe as a child.

This harmony is very likely to have grown on him, and even as a god wanted to stay as part of this peaceful system. That's something that can be expanded upon with his 'mortality' in the Endgame, and his marriages; not only did he confirm that he's gay and that he married mortals as a god, but the tone in which he said it suggested that such harmony became the norm on Abbinah. People became diplomatic if not outright friendly in order to avoid potentially costly conflict, taking in orphans as he did, and generally being nice to preserve everyone.

He might still be naive in some ways, but I would say he's become quite hardened. He lost his second husband to Zamorak on Forinthry along with vast numbers of his people to the degree that he thought they became extinct, then came back to find his Citadel hijacked by Sliske. And he stood up against Bandos (who was a strategic mastermind in war and psychology, and for all Armadyl knew, was still tier 3), which takes some bottle.

Did I miss something? Where's that from?

Sliske's Endgame, talking to him at the beginning of the quest (or after it; he still has the dialogue).

Talk to him about his family and then about his marriages. He tells you about his first husband, and then:

Original message details are unavailable.
My second marriage was to Obi'Sooth, a simple farmer. Obi taught me to appreciate the simpler things. Helped ground me. I had lived as a god for so long, it was reassuring to remember what a hard day's work is like. But Obi was taken from me. Not by age, or disease, but by the final retribution of a defeated god. That...that is why I can never forgive Zamorak for his actions.

Yeah. That above quote also suggests that Armadyl didn't want to ascend, and this along with other quotes as well as giving us his quill points towards him missing mortality.

He probably used that forbidden weapon of his to kill perhaps a cruel ruling god or an invading one and caused a great bit of damage to Abbinah. I had initially thought that was just Ful ripping out her Kiln, but this would be a much better backstory.

This would explain so much, but I think it might contradict existing lore.

Regardless, I would love this.

Protect: Armadyl, Zamorak, Icthlarin, Crondis, Marimbo, Zaros
Destroy: Seren, Saradomin, Amascut, Xau-Tak(?), Sliske's remnants(?)
IDC: Brassica Prime

Seren embodies rationalized slavery and/or Stockholm syndrome. She manipulated the Mahjarrat into needlessly killing eachother. She tends to go back and forth between idealistic pandering and nonchalant self pity masquerading as taking responsibility for her actions.

Saradomin is just toxic.

Zamorak's ideals on the surface sound 'evil'. But in reality, it just isn't sugarcoated fluff. I believe the creation of the Wilderness was a moment of weakness based on his Freneskaean origins. When backed into a corner, a Mahjarrat is likely to lash out rather than concede. I don't expect Armadyl to 'forgive and forget'. Zamorak killed his mate among many other Aviansie. That's unforgiveable. But one would think someone of Armadyl's ideals would be above revenge. I would expect him to find a way to be diplomatic with Zamorakians, without excusing their Lord's heinous actions. Perhaps creating a system of checks and balances via consequences. War reparations.

Now that the major god pillar/arc is finished, I would like to see a lore driven quest. Perhaps "Divine Diplomacy", throwback to Goblin Diplomacy. Closure of sorts. A summit in which ambassadors discuss where we go from here. The World Guardian would make a WONDERFUL mediator. I feel like factions of deceased gods should also be present. The Bandosians and Guthixians still exist, after all. As well as a desert ambassador.
TFW You can't decide between support Zamorak or Zaros.
