Let the world burn.
My powers will protect me.

Runescape will be a desolate wasteland, but I will keep myself entertained.

Lost secrets to excavate from the various wizard towers.
Other life forms are bound to survive the destruction.
With the oceans dried, I'll be free to walk wherever I please. May get to finally visit the Eastern Lands.
And I can still have adventures. I'll just make them up as I go.
And I won't be alone. I will still have all of my friends with me. Cyrissus, Hazelmere, and all of the others are still with me. Talking to me.
Oh the grand adventures we'll go out and have once the rest of those nuisances are out of the way.

And with all of the skills I've mastered, I should be able to remake the world however I want

Xenia merely wanted to remove the anima. But I don't think that's enough.

I think the only way to fully stop them (unless changes their mind about us being able to kill them) is by destroying all life on this planet, draining the anima, and then leave. This will leave them in Mah's condition if not worse.

An alternative method is draining the anima every 5000 years. But if society ever forgot to do this, the Elders would awaken and life would be over.

Presumably, the elder gods do lose some energy while sleeping. If we were to deplete the anima now without waking them and keep it too low to replenish them, they starve to death in their sleep.

Of course this plan doesn't work, as Xenia showed us. This is due to the fact that by removing even a small chunk of the anima the elder gods begin to awake.

As World Guardian, I refuse to let Gielinor be destroyed. It's part of my job description; "don't blow up RuneScape".

Xenia's route of draining the anima wouldn't work. The Elders would still awaken (or are already awakening) and ravage Gielinor as they did to Freneskae.

Zaros' plan would be great if it weren't for the Young Gods. They are many and those aware of the Elders are few. Assuming **nia is dead (heavily debatable) there are a mere handful of people who have a clue about the Elders. One of which is Ariane who ironically managed to prevent one of the first attempts we had at saving the world.

I guess we need to start collected Elder Artifacts.
I'm just a man; I'm not a hero.
Just a boy who had to sing this song.

Seems like Xenia is of the same mind.... Been reading my threads, Jagex?

I seriously thought this thread was about Heart of Stone at first. O_o

But wow.

Once I posted that I thought that the Dark Lord was just a corrupted part of Seren, and then here comes Plague's End months afterward finding out exactly that. Just simple coincidences, or something more? :P
