Where is this temekel lore coming from btw?

Latest lore I'm aware of comes from one of the lore drops in the new throne room area at the digsite.

What if Zaros and Seren were not Mah's first attempt, but the second? Roll both of those into one package and it might have been too much of a handful or far too independent. The split and attraction to keep Zaros/Seren there with her would still then make sense, but shift the reasoning for it to avoiding another failure. In that case, if they were the QoA, it would easily make them a Tier 2. But that is all tinfoil hat conjecture until it's not :P The purpose of adventure is to shine light into dark places,

Do we really want more of Tumekens dysfunctional family spilling out of the desert?

First we learn his daughter is an irredeemable mental mess, then just yesterday we learn he in whatever state he's in, could be slightly pissed off and plans to burn an empire that no longer exists, and NOW you want to suggest Elidnis, his wife, is the Queen of Ashes, some abuser of the weak and discarded.

Well, it fits. I just hope she doesn't look like a Hippo with an Arsonist problem.

That ape goddess had her sense stripped away, who knows how much crazier she really is.

My first thought was Temekel lol.
He's covered in a ton of fire, the burning Nihl is covered in fire.
Temekel was an enemy of Zaros. The burning nihl is an enemy of Zaros.

There are similarities. Is the Queen of Ashes the cause of both? I don't know.

I kind of have to doubt its Elidnis, though it is my favorite theory, because the QoA needed help locating Gielinor, but Elidnis presumably wouldn't imo.

…Huh. Okay, I was hesitant to accept Elidinis as the Queen of Ashes, but that does raise a good point.

I had already been hoping for the Mahjarrat quests to tie in more with the Desert again, especially since Mod Ollie expressed interest in giving the Mahjarrat their own story pillar through Children of Mah. Icthlarin and Sliske still have to settle their score against each other, and we are getting Menaphos next year. Bilrach's letter was interesting for what we learned about Temekel. Actually, come to think of it, Temekel's only other mention was in Bilrach's memory. Perhaps Bilrach would be interested in knowing that Amascut now has the Kharid-ib?

Interesting point to raise :D

Are you suggesting Bilrach has a bit of a man-crush on Temekel? Re-reading his letter Bilrach does seem to depict Bilrach fawning over the guy lol. "something something Temekel could crush him with just his mind".
