Stuff that I should probably add to the thread but am too busy procrastinating to actually add them:

*Info we learned from Kindred Spirits
*The theorised battle between Xau-Tak and Bandos, that ended with the former trapped in/retreating to the Underwater City.
*Gentleman Mallard's disappearance at the tentacles of a gigantic sea creature.
*Possibly stuff from the Arc. At the very least we'll probably be able to conclusively rule out it being the Cursed Archipelago.
1.) There's been A LOT of discussion surrounding what we learned in KS on this thread, I wouldn't worry about it.
2.) I just hate that idea. Mostly because Bandos is long dead, and dragging dead gods back into new lore seems stupid to me. Besides, aside from the Cyclopes, there's little connection between Bandos and the Wushanko Isles.
3.) Nothing new to say, really. This ties into the first thing about Kindred Spirits, in a way.
4.) Pretty sure this has been confirmed, they aren't the Cursed Archipelago.

Oh boy, the new features that were just added to the forums give me even more reason to update this thread.

I'm glad they gave the Forums the Imgur link thing. Makes it easier to source things like Reddit and Twitter now. A

I barely recall the myth of how a ferrymen carries souls across a river in the underworld.
And I guess that is what the 2015 Halloween event was based on.

Now as metaphorical or literal as quotes go,
could 'corpse oceans' refer to the waters of the underworld?

Beyond Death's gaze, Icthlarin's guidance and Amascut's soul devourers.
The empty space with no afterlife, no wandering souls, just endless water and fog.
Could that be the 'maw of eternity' and 'grinding darkness' we keep hearing about?

So... there's apparently a ship in Wushanko known as "The Harbinger". Apparently many ghost stories are told about it.

Could it be connected to Rabid Jack and Xau-Tak?

It wouldn't surprise me. After all, the climax of our favourite source of Xau-Tak guessing, Call of C'thulhu has a ghost ship involved. Sort of, anyway.

How alien is Xau-tak? Let's try to put him on a level of "alien".

Is he alien like a being from another world? We've met demons, elves, Mahjarrat, and other beings that originated on other worlds, and they're not that strange. None of their thoughts make reality boil.

Is he alien like a being from another cycle of creation (a past cycle or a future cycle)? Probably not. We've met the Dragonkin, a race from a previous cycle, and they're pretty similar to the Ilujanka, a race from our cycle. So far, all of the indicators (including the eggs of the elder gods), indicate that the previous cycle was pretty similar to our cycle, its elder gods were pretty similar to our elder gods, and its races were pretty similar to our races. At least, not different in a reality-boiling way.

I think Xau-tak is from beyond the elder gods' creations, from the Void or beyond it.
What's the most convincing ship in the game?
