I made a post about the Player x Eluned ship on page 11 of this thread, back in April. It's really a theory of how her feelings might transfer over to Seren after being restored. Then again any tender moments might just be completely legit.

By the way Leth, thanks for mentioning Clannad in another thread a while back. I enjoyed it a lot and might even think of applying some of what I heard into a story for Eluned.

"So many species, so little time." --Ninth Doctor, about Jack Harkness
I'm not really bothered about the different species part since most characters are pretty human-like behaviourally. Hell, half the thread ships their character with Zanik, and "really short, green-skinned and having HUGE eyes" is pretty far from the basic human wild type anyway. Going from there to reptilian or bat or grey blob with thirty mouths and four hundred eyes isn't even *that* much of a leap. Not that I'm a particularly big fan of any of those, but if the story is good enough (like it is with Zanik), well, *shrug* why not?
With some of the ships that people have mentioned, I'd have a bigger issue with aspects like power and age than with appearance. Like the people shipping their character with Seren: the World Guardian is canonically a young-ish human with a sprig of divine power from Guthix. Seren may be a really good-looking eight-eyed, eight-foot tall blue crystalline humanoid, but she is also a tier-2 goddess, the divine embodiment of light, and probably just about as old as the planet Gielinor itself. Not exactly something that makes for a stable relationship.

Oh I don't know, Seren could easily see Guthix in the World Guardian if they make obvious Pro Guthix/Seren choices. And we know she loved him beyond any mortal understanding.
Also, it was asked of Mod Osborne, I think, that since the Guardians of Guthix have lived vastly beyond the lifespan of their original species, if the world guardian would also have an lengthened lifespan, Answer Yes. No use in Guarding a world if you only have a good 60 years left in you.

she's a good deal older than that... a few hundred thousand years, I'd say
I agree with what you're saying there though... if you're too different, physically, mentally... a relationship isnt going to work that well
which is why none of the gods really have friends... aside from other gods like s and g

Senny may be a likable fellow, but I'd be leery of attempting to make physical contact with him. In addition to that possibly being how he accidentally devoured his friend, hugging him would probably mean you'd accidentally poke him in an eye or something. Furthermore, Cthonians reproduce by spawning massive clutches all at once, so incompatible biology would be an issue.

Seren may claim that their relationship transcended mortal love, but it pretty obviously didn't. If your relationship transcends mortal love, you don't throw your beloved under the bus and order her to leave her people because of your stupid ideals about gods being sucky. Personally I think Guthix was affected by Seren's love aura and she didn't want to believe or admit it.
As for shipping her with the WG, I must confess I dislike god pairings in general, with the exception of Tumeken/Elidinis since there isn't really anything wrong with them. I just don't see any of the gods as approachable or viable romantic partners, and while I acknowledge the canonicity of Guthix/Seren I don't like them as a couple.
