Would you stop blaming mod osborne for something he is not responsible for.

The idea of having the new quests accessible for every player (and to hurry to finish the older quests in order to open room for the 6th age favored ones) doesn't come from lore/plot designers, but rather the company board's strategy, probably either mod mmg or mod mark.

Mods osborne or ana have to follow their orders; so if you want to try convincing anyone, direct your complaints at the main heads at jagex. Still ana and osborne will do the best they can with the instructions they are given anyways.

I'm not saying it is better or worse, each has its own vantages and disadvantages

I am not talking about having new quests accessible at all. I am talking about old quests being changed to be 6th age quests when there is no need changing the lore and ruining the timeline properly this time.

Edit: As in Legacy of Seergaze and Tears of Guthix would be 6th age quests which makes no sense within the timeline or plot.

Not that I can remember, although there has been some speculation on another thread that the world gate could lead to Vampyrium. It sounds like the World Gate is still set to the last used world which is likely to be Vampyrium, the Infernal Dimensions or the Dragon Riders realm. My money is on the Dragon Riders, they confirmed that they are the lizard men too.

Mod Mark will be on the next one (probably), I propose a group effort to make an entire page posts on the question thread become "Why wont you let Mod Ana work on the Myreque?"

She is still working on div but hopefully Myreque next.

Anyway as for the world gate most of those realms make no sense. If you put lore together you see it went missing as Zaros was about to be betrayed not early in the second age where he would have already brought through Vampyres, Dragon Riders and Demons. (Well not Dragon Riders too early or they have a very long life)

Drakan and Thammaron were already around Zamorak when the gate went missing so to me those realms make no sense. I can think of a use Zaros would have had for it though. To get to wherever he is now.

If he can't just teleport himself back here in his current form he couldn't just teleport out using his current form so using the world gate to wherever it was set at the time would make some sense.

If Drakan was the author of the tome underneath Burgh de Rott, then it's possible that:

1. The world gate is under Morytania.

2. Drakan has another way to access Vampyrium without the world gate.

Do we know how Icyene like Padomenes returned to Gielinor with Saradomin? I presume that they didn't need the world gate. If so, that would add credence to #2.

There are plenty of other interdimensional portals about, it sounds plausible that Saradomin could bring a few Icyene with him. The World Gate sounds to be the kind of high-volume portal needed for transporting whole races rather than small groups.

If the Elves used it its very unlikely that it's in Morytania given the Book of Serens quotes about the emptiness spreading over towards Tirannwn and taking the World Gate with it.

Ugh I fear that Tuska could be using the world gate to bring in her massive army.

The other gods... they are more strategical (even Bandos), preferring to keep their weapons safe, and only bringing up to gielinor their most trusted units.

Because remember, the world gate is a two way door: you make way for your army to arrive Gielinor; but also open your stronghold world you had them at to the attacks of any enemies.

No place in Gielinor is safe from the jealous eyes of the other gods; so you wouldn't want to risk showing them your unknown, safe basis of operation in a whole other world, or else where to would you move your security, your bank?

Question: How do we know that there isn't more than one World Gate? Or that it can't be moved around somehow? Or that there weren't other things like it that got destroyed in the past before our current age?

Truth be told I can imagine Drakan having other means to travel between planes. It seems more likely given his true vampyric nature, and tbh I can imagine him just coming through with a small force that's strong enough to take captives for conversion but still weak enough to avoid immediate notice from the more powerful groups around at the time.
