X pur3, your new face looks fabulous! Maybe without the mustache it might be even better
.
Hmm, this new super-quest sure comes out of nowhere. The resting place of Guthix? Wow... Even though I don't know how long this has been worked on, I can't shake off this worry of it being rushed
...
I do feel excited though, finally seeing Drakan would be great. I hope he'll be like how I see him.

There's nothing wrong with my hearing after all

Doogle: D'oh! Still, it's significant that Branches of Darkmeyer was specifically mentioned.
Ojacha: The only problem my visage has it that the Jagex graphics team have nicked my old helmet.
Do you remember last year's lore Q and A which revealed that Drakan was not necessarily in Castle Drakan? Perhaps Mod X (I forget who) was alluding to his presence in this quest.
Also, let's consider the following quote about the new quest....
"It’s a Grandmaster-level quest, centred on... the original resting place of Guthix. Sought by treasure hunters and historians alike for hundreds of years, its discovery will shake the very core of Gielinor. But how will you choose to progress through it? It’s packed full of choices and the path that you take will have world-shaking consequences. Huge amounts of history and the story of the Guardians of Guthix can be found, as well as direct contact with some of RuneScape’s most powerful characters."
We will probably find out about Morytania's past, but will we be able to shape its future? I'm going to take the path of 'good' if such a thing proves to exist.
We might find out about the stones past with morytania, but I think we'll only get some juicy lore if Mod Ana's in the project, if I remember correctly she said she wanted the Morytanian lore to be expanded on within the Myreque quests.
Interesting thought, this quest may well be required for the next Myreque quest, which will knock it up to grandmaster level. Multi-grandmaster series sounds very nice
'out of nowhere', Ojacha? This isn't the first we're hearing of this quest... And also, about the length of time, here's a quote from Mod Mark, a BTS video in January that presumably refers to it, which I've posted on at least two other threads.
'Some quests can take up to a year to create. We've got other pieces of content that are very, very short. We've just recently done a rework to the Demon Slayer quest, for example, which we should be seeing into the - in the game within the next few months, and we restricted ourselves to, you know, only sort of a week or two weeks of development. The, uh, grandmaster quest that we've got coming up in the next few months has been about nine to twelve months' development time.''
Ok, we did see the new god quest they've been talking about in 2012 coming a little. But compared to WGS, which had many hints pointing toward it years before release, as well as ROTM, which we've been expecting for a long time as well. this quest comes a little as a surprise to me. I didn't even know Guthix had a resting place like that. I Always presumed he was sleeping in the core of the world or something.

Oh and Doogle this is a Mod Ana project as I guessed a while back. Have received confirmation recently though. It makes a lot of sense for her to be doing it. Zilyana and Nex are in it who she voices, she is Icyene curator as well as having created 2 of the quests required for full rewards.
I have also wondered if she may be Zaros curator or Mahjarrat curator now.
As for Veliaf getting mad it's just cause he doesn't want anyone getting killed.
In that case, from the Myreque standpoint, The World Wakes couldn't be in better hands.
Still, I wonder a more senior moderator was not chosen for such a monumental task. Please call out naivity if I'm wrong, but Paul Gower is still around, isn't he?
Edit: I just found out that Mod Ana IS a senior content developer. Way to go!
