Balustan, I couldn't find the reference for Drakan looking for the Stone, but I did come across a few other items of interest.

• Definitely. 'Soon' may be optimistic, as we have big plans for *Runescape} story in the next month or so, but I plan to drop a huge tome on you all. It's about time there was an official history of RuneScape. Which reminds me, look out for a motion comic that will summarise a lot of the story in three lovely minutes.
• Definitely, yes, absolutely. Kharshai, Sliske, Azzanadra - I have plans for most of the Mahjarrat in 2013.
• No plans that I'm aware of. No. Perhaps - actually, yes. Demigods would have to do something tremendous to be affected by the Edicts @@@(if the Edicts exist at all).@@@

• So, something juicy: our next quest introduces not one but TWO new guardians of Guthix [one already existing ingame who also likes stories]. And possibly even a visit from Nex...
• Yep. My favourite god is not currently a god. But they will be. And they will be thoroughly, absolutely amazing

1. This might finally clear up the murky history of Morytania, but personally I would prefer to piece together the past in the remaining Myreque quests, especially if some of the details prove to be surprising.

2. Although Mod Ana made it clear that she wanted the Myreque storyline to stand alone (and, in my opinion, rightfully so), we shouldn't rule out the possibility that her favourite Mahjarrat, Sliske, will be involved in the future.

3. I think someone else on this thread has already mentioned the possibility that the Edicts are a myth. Given that Mod Ana has expressed her frustration at the Edicts' existence, it would make perfect sense for them to be just myths. That way, they still have the pacifying effect on the competing factions as long as they simply believe that they exist. If they are broken, the game won't blue screen because Guthix won't actually wipe out Gielinor!

4. • "Yep. My favourite god is not currently a god. But they will be. And they will be thoroughly, absolutely amazing" - I'm pretty sure that Drakan isn't the only character in the game who is currently seeking Godhood, but he's definitely a contender for this honour. That would be pretty scary.

I don't think the edicts are a myth per say they just arn't stone cold rules that were agreed on. My interpretation has always been that Guthix said you are banished and if you come back or interfere in the world I shall destroy it. He then placed the big sword in the wilderness as a reminder of his words. However they are not actual rules and could even be an empty threat. However it does stand to reason they are thought of as a serious threat by at least some of the gods considering they are gone.

Oh and on Drakan.

"Oh, and thanks for your comments on Drakan! He just won't give up on looking for the Stone of Jas, the cheeky bloodsucking scamp."

Oh and everyone seems to think the gods are coming back. I am not so sure they are coming back as soon as we think. The gods will be more involved if you think about it Seren, Zaros and Saradomin already have ways of communicating with their followers written into the lore so it isn't hard to think that the others do too. So I really hope they don't rush their return. Especially Zaros' he has some particularly problematic story reasons that need to be explained properly. So pretty much the opposite of what ROTM was.

D'oh! Fixed. Here are a few more gems.

Q. Will Morytania ever be restored to a lively place?
A. I shudder to imagine how we would achieve that in an MMO!

Q. Are there any other Icyenes other than Zilyana present on Gielenor?
A. Not yet, well, kind of.

"I was approached by the Solomon guys about bringing some lore to the new pets, and I like that they paint a picture of other realms that we haven't gone to yet, but would love to in the future. Honestly, I would love to set some content in Vampyrium or the Infernal Dimensions."

We all know that the restoration of Morytania will be very difficult, if not impossible, to achieve from a MMO point of view.

As for the Icyene comment, Osborne is saying that there is only Zilyana and Safalaan representing the Icyene at this point in time. His use of 'yet' suggests that more will appear in the future. Again, it's something we've suspected for a long time.

Finally, Mod Osborne has more or less confirmed that Vampyrium is a place of some sort rather an object. Once again, most of us suspected this.

I'm quite glad that Mod Osborne hasn't revealed anything too drastic, although some might say that the Stone of Jas revelation was quite significant.

'Finally, Mod Osborne has more or less confirmed that Vampyrium is a place of some sort rather an object. Once again, most of us suspected this. '

Well, *you're* a bit late.

Do you know about those livestreams they had... including one on lore?

Yeah, that wasn't just a bunch of irrelevant vague stuff we knew already.

There is a possibly inexact transcript stickied in the General forum.

...Wait, it isn't stickied there anymore? Hold on.

There. Moved to Community Home, it seems, like at least one or two other livestream threads may have been a while back.

I quote:

{EDIT: Argh, quoted the wrong bit, although the bit I quoted also involved Drakan and may also be of interest to you... I have now chopped out the mistaken quote. Here!

'29. Do vyrewatch eventually become a full vampyre? Or are they born a full vampyre, are they converted to a full vampyre? Where do they come from?

Dave: I can see where you’d get confused with that because the Vyrewat*h are more of an occupation rather than a particular race or breed of vampyre. A vampyre from Vampyrium can become a vyrewatch as can one who’s just created by another vampire. In terms of how many created vampyres there are and how many are from Vampyrium, there’s very few from Vampyrium which is the home place, the world where vampyres came from and those are vampyres that are born as vampyres. They did*’t stick their teeth into somebody’s neck. There are probably only a few in this world that includes Ranis, Vanescula and Drakan. '}

...and that's not the only part that might be of interest to you. Take a look at the thread, X Pur3 04. Here's the quick find code, copy-pasted:
