Starting a new character, it's impossible to go from Death Plateau straight to Troll Stronghold. The difference in difficulty is astounding - we have to defeat a level 91 troll general. In terms of story also, it seems like the player would leave Burthorpe for some time after Death Plateau before returning to do Troll Stronghold. Troll Stronghold and Romance would do much better some time AFTER Dragon Slayer.

Quests like Tai Bwo Wannai Trio, Spirits of the Elid, Lost City and Tears of Guthix should all come later in the timeline too IMO, simply because their difficulty is much higher than the rest of those before Dragon Slayer. In terms of story, yes it'd be fine to have them there, but in terms of physically doing the quests they are not. I'm just a man; I'm not a hero.

Make sure to point out all the errors; note that according to the wiki River of Blood has to be before Curse of Arrav. Back to the Freezer is weird timeline wise due to time travel. Also updated for Menaphos.

I've been wondering about a canon timeline for the game. Therefore many kudos and thumbs-ups to all who helped start and/or worked on the semi-canon timeline under this thread! :D This is an amazing project of epic proportions!

On a side note, would be great to see recent quests such as Children of Mah and Sliske's Endgame being added to the semi-canon timeline for reference.

P.S. Wonder if anyone tried integrating the Path System into the timeline? Deathless I see, but even immortals will not escape my wrath!

Path System doesn't work well with this timeline. It's fine to get Ashdale, Blood Pact, Demon Slayer and Shadow Over Ashdale done first, but after that it goes towards the 6th Age novice quests (MPD, DOC..) mostly because they're some of the best low level quests in the game, so they want new players to see this content first. I'm just a man; I'm not a hero.

Awesome thread! I'm currently going for the quest cape on my alt, and i've done most of the quests, so sadly I can't do the quests in the order. But after I get quest cape on my alt, I'm gonna start a new acc, and do all the quests in order :P
