More Examples: “Should-be” Quest Requirements

I'm sure someone will debate the idea that the quests are just as easily if not more understandable without the requirements, but here's what I got so far on this list. Add more if you know any, please!

> = “should be logically required for”

Ritual of the Mahjarrat and all pre-requisites, as well as all recommended required quests for The World Wakes > The World Wakes > Death of Chivalry/Birthright of the Dwarves/Missing, Presumed Death

While Guthix Sleeps > Nomad's Requiem > Ritual of the Mahjarrat

Hunt for Red Raktuber > Salt in the Wound

The General's Shadow (Miniquest) > Ritual of the Mahjarrat

All Fired Up > Defender of Varrock (Credit to Xenophonse)

More Examples: Dated Journals

* = not dated 169, but assumed 169 since events that take place in it reference the adventurer and as of now we have no evidence of the year changing, other than The World Wakes bringing the world into the 6th age.

# = Likely not 169, but no year and no reference to things we know didn't happen too recently, so it's possible.

33rd of Raktuber to Pentember 3rd (time period of 4 days)* - The adventurer completes the Hand in the Sand quest.

Source: Locked Diary (Sandy's Diary)

15th Pentember* - The adventurer completes the Witch's House quest.

Source: Witch's Diary

20th Pentember# - Tarn Razalor goes mad in the lair of Tarn Razalor near the Haunted Mine some point after this day. Meaning the miniquest, or Haunted Mine quest would take place after this if it is 169. He references the Saradominist Zealot outside which makes me feel this might have been somewhat recent, but not necessarily 169.

Source: Diary of Tarn Razalor

21st Pentember* (Outdated, no longer relevant, and was a contradiction anyways, but still funny) – The adventurer helps Roddeck soon after this day, as this is the day that Roddeck called the White Knights for help with his pet dragon, and the Adventurer stumbled into him there.

Source: Roddeck's Diary

25th Pentember* - Jossik goes missing from the lighthouse at some time after this day as this is his last entry in a diary, meaning Horror from the Deep would have to have taken place after this day. It would be the year the adventurer is journeying in because at the start of the quest, Larrissa says he's been missing “for a few days”

Source: Jossik's Journal

25th Pentember* - The adventurer would have to have done Grim Tales after this day, as the Witch's Diary indicates this is the day she hid her shrinking potion that you use in Grim Tales. It's 10 days after Witch's House quest, in the same diary (that automatically gets updated) that you obtain from that quest.

More Examples: Dated Journals

Alright, here's my last, but unique, example for the journal dates. In the Burnt Diary you obtain during Royal Trouble that belongs to Armod Brundtson, the way he dates it is different from normal journals and diarys. Instead of “Month/Day/Year/Age” or some variation of that, he dates it like, well here's his first three dates in the diary:

Year 3 of trials, day 20

Year 4 of trials, day 144

Year 5 of trials, day 78

This could be referring to two things:

If he started his journal on say, the day before the last day of the year, it would look like “Year 1 of Trials, day 365”, instead of “Year 1 of trials, day 1”, and his next entry would be “Year 2 of Trials, day 1”, instead of “Year 1 of trials, day 2”

For this to be useful for our purposes it would have to be the first example; him just saying the day of the year rather than the amount of days and years he's been working on the trials.

If this is the case, then...

His diary entries that reference events that the adventurer would have had to do during the time gaps, would mean we've done Throne of Miscellania between Bennath 12th and Bennath 16th, and could only do Royal Trouble sometime after (but relatively soon after), Bennath 22nd, as that's when they get trapped with the sea monsters.
~*~

So for a quick summary, here's the order the quests would have to take place in if following all of the dates in journals. The ones in parenthesis are “not concrete”, for some reason or other. The one in brackets is just outdated, and contradicting. The one with asteriks means it can take place anytime after the previous events. The ones with two asterisks means it also has to take place before the ones listed after it.

(Throne of Miscellania)** - (Royal Trouble)** - Hand in the Sand** - Witch's house** - (Lair of Tarn Razalor Miniquest)* - [Learning the Ropes Roddeck Tutorial] - Horror From the Deep* - Grim Tales*

Swan Song > As a Last Resort (Credit to Xenophonse)

WOM is seen relaxing at Oog'loog which is a nice nod to him having finished his adventuring his career.

Dealing with Scabaras > Missing My Mummy (Credit to Rondstat)

In MmM, the player references personal knowledge of Scabaras ideology, regardless of if you've completed DwS. Despite DwS being the only quest to really go into any depth of his ideology outside of a couple NPC half-mentions.
