Will update everything tomorrow probably, sorry for my absence. I'll also swap the order of the rankings.

To anyone that is interested, I have some suggestions on how to improve and expand Crocodile Tears and Our Man in the North on the wiki; User:Fswe1/Laboratory3 (at the bottom).

Why, it was serious, of course. Sliske, as a dark "foil" of sorts to the World Guardian (only, y'know, much more clever), is my favorite character and the aforementioned quest was the culmination of centuries of meticulous planning by a metaphorical grandmaster. Hence the bittersweet ending: Even when he "lost," he won. Why? Simple. He's chess' wild card -- a [black] knight. ...Weird. Can't quote you for some reason. Haxx? :O “Nothing is so common as the wish to be remarkable.”

Oh, okay. Will add, then. I think you're the second or third person I've ever seen who liked the quest, hence my presumption. But no problem. :)

Thanks and no worries. I know quite a few people who liked it, actually, but maybe they just don't bother posting here because of certain people (not you, by the way).

Welp, glad to see the "quote" function is working again...

69erz -- let's start a Sliske's Endgame Appreciation Society!

(seriously, it released around the time I got back into the game, and though I couldn't play it at the time I practically ate up every playthrough of it I could find -- I adored all the lore to be found in there and it was a major factor in getting me hooked on Runescape again)

I wouldn't say it's my favourite quest, though. That honour goes to The World Wakes . Nomad's Elegy is a very close second.

+1 TWW

I have to say Endgame is my least favourite quest, though...maybe only Salt in the Wound trumps it, but it's right down there with Missing, Presumed Death and Tai Bwo Wannai Trio. And the original Doric's Quest and Imp Catcher. :P

Dear Guthix, that bad? I understand people being put off by the maze, but... Salt in the Wound-tier? Why?

There's masses and masses of juicy lore in there. More on Armadyl than we've ever had, for instance. And I'll debate day and night with people who believe it was out of character for Sliske. Weary of the stagnant world and determined to make it something worth living in (to his mind, at least) in the one life that he has -- it honestly strikes me as tragic, even if it's obviously twisted.

And my god, meeting Jas! What a monumental moment. An absolute triumph of tone, it had me in genuine awe all throughout the scene. Massive implications for future content, too -- whenever that comes, of course, but they're finishing Fifth Age content first, and I'm happy to wait.

I'm truly bewildered at how you genuinely think it was that bad, with all the great stuff it has to offer. I do think it'll hold up better on replay, when people can experience it more fully. Just gotta wait for QA...!

(Having said that, I have no idea what reasons people could have for hating MPD. So I'll just give you a big ol' baffled shrug in general.)
