Hmm...

I'm going to say... Sheep shearer - the amount of depth and complexity, along with the incredible amount of lore it conveys put it right up there at number one. I'm hoping for a sequel one day, perhaps revealing the true nature of the 10 balls of wool that we had to shear. Could they be the parts of the dreaded thirteenth elder artefact: the freneskae creator god's giant woolly fluffball of doom? :3

In all seriousness, it has to either be tww or one small favour - tww for the amazing lore despite its less than satisfactory length, and (as much as I hated it at the time) one small favour for its, ahem, more than satisfactory length, and the annoyance of the player :3

I've posted once on this thread, but actually never said which quest was my favorite. (facepalm)
I'll vote for Underground Pass.

Five votes now, and still some people think it's a bad quest. ;*;

It was just a long and tedious quest and I don't think the story elements were all that good.

I enjoyed Regicide 10x more.

Long is good. The sense of adventure, loneliness and vulnerability was immense. Nowhere else in the game, aside from perhaps during Haunted Mine, did I experience such a feeling of hopelessness and corruption.

I'll put you down as One Small Favour, because TWW has enough votes for now. :P

Why no Brink of Extinction? Heavily combat based, providing quite a challenge, and I must say it has a really hard boss fight (how I got through Nomad and Pest Queen: instakill darts, so yes I'm a bit of a noob :P ). Also has interesting lore behind what were the TokHaar's plans to bring the TzHaar home. Roses are grey, violets are grey, I'm in Pompeii, I'm lost.

Either A Slug Menace, One Piercing Note or My Arm's Big Adventure.

The 2nd slug quest was dramatic, had great music and build up a lot of tension. A few surprising twists (Brother Maledict and Col. O'Niall becoming possessed and of course being tricked into opening Mallum's prison) worked really well and provided an excellent gaming experience.

One Piercing Note had great audio and decent lore. As I'm a big fan of crime novels and murder mysteries, this one ranks very high on my imaginative quest shelf.

My Arm's Big Adventure is a true 'old-style' RuneScape quest (unlike Bringing Home the Bacon, which was advertised like that) - this one involved quite challenging combat, exploring, skilling and lots of Jagexian humour (starting with the quest name).

And the winner is...

My Arm's Big Adventure ;) Chapeau, Mod Ash.

Yep, I agree. Too bad Mod Ash is doing 2007scape now. =/

Long =/= Good

Darkness of Hallowvale was good because it was so immeresive and you felt like you were in real danger the whole time.

Underground pass was a set of tedious obstacles and series of rooms that had no correlation with each other and didn't make much sense frankly until you get to the chasm with Iban.

Also Regicide was long because if you were missing something then you have to go all the way back to Ardounge just to fetch something.

@Fswe1

Be aware of the fact that I'll be posting here numerous times, because there are so many brilliant quests! :) I hope you'll make an exception and let multiple votes count, as I won't be choosing the obvious ones (like TWW, WGS etc.)

Have a nice day!

Your reason for Darkness of Hallowvale being good is exactly the reason for why Underground Pass is good. With added eerie voices.

I love just about every quest in RuneScape!

I agree about Underground Pass, that was one of the first quests I did where I really felt like it was a challenge, and felt oh so adventurous. But I think I enjoyed the sequel after that one, Regicide, even more. I had no idea what the elven lands would be like, and hardly even knew that there were elves living in Gielinor. I was amazed to find that beautiful forest clouded with mystery, serenity and excitement and I just wanted to figure out everything I possibly could about it.
Start to finish, this quest was just a masterpiece to me. The entire Plague/Elf series really is just amazing. Fantastical. Thinking about it makes me even more excited for the series to continue, which can't seem to come soon enough!

Oh and I know it's been said countless times already on these forums, but While Guthix Sleeps was one of the best quests of all time. Another masterpiece. All of the grandmasters would be on the top of my list, too. Maybe not Nomad's Requiem, but I can appreciate that for its obvious reasons as well.
