I'm starting to really want this comic to be turned into a fully-voiced cut scene. That would take a lot of time and resources, though :(

Still, I would love to see it in future content.

It says that on the Unofficial Wiki. It's an assumption, which is incorrect.

Well...Desert Treasure and Mahjarrat Memories strongly imply it. He seems uninformed of what happened to Zaros.

To a lesser extent it's implied if Book of Zaros too, but I guess if Ayanetka survived, Azzanadra could have escaped too. Then again, that book already conflicts with Mahjarrat Memories.

We'll in the latest comic par zamorak has been teleported and prob zaros, so it makes sense why Azzandra wouldn't know or the other person

Assuming the comic becomes canon this would explain why Azzanadra is clueless, but wouldn't explain why Ayanetka knows what's going on.

Okay here is what Ayanetka thinks he/she knows...

From Ayanetka: Archbishop of Senntisten, to the bishops of Zaros,
Conflicting accounts of recent events abound. I am first among all humans in the eyes of our Lord Zaros and witness to these events, and I write to you now with the truth

Zamorak attacked Zaros with a staff stolen from another god, and our lord Zaros vanished into shadow. Zamorak - in the ultimate blasphemy - declared that Zaros was slain and that he was now a god...

Do not believe Zamorak's lies, and do not despair...

Our god is not dead. He will rule from the Shadow Realm until he returns to destroy the usurper. We are not forsaken. I have no doubt that he will send us a sign.

This is what Azzandra thinks he knows...

Rumours are spreading throughout the empire that the Empty Lord was destroyed in the battle. I cannot believe that. There is no power in this world capable of destroying him. He must be out there, but the portal has failed to establish communication.

See neither were truly there, one thinks Zaros went into the shadow realm to chill, the other refuses to believe that Zaros is dead. Ayanetka has no clue what happened, essentialy she too is in denial. They both don't know what happened because for the one on one fight Zaros teleported both he and Zamorak. So they are both speculating on what happened, all they know is Zamorak betrayed Zaros as they were both present for that.

Doesn't it seem strange that they just KNEW Zamorak was a God, though? And Zemourgal also saw...eh, maybe the comic will explain.

I think it was a serious case of hoping, according to the Last Riders they wen't in hoping Zamorak would achieve god hood

Apropos said 'We must ride with Zamorak. The Empty Lord is never going to honour his deal with us. if Zamorak becomes a god tonight, we'll be rewarded for siding with him.' Morvannon had already mounted her dragon, ready to fly.

Also I don't think it was ever mentioned that Zamorak lost contact with his followers, remember we know know he was teleported by his allies instead of being banished, i doubt they would stop him from at least telling his followers he is okay.

I'm thinking it was only the Zarosians in the dark, which is a nice mirror image to how this time around its everyone but the Zarosians in the dark concerning Zaros.

Yes. Zemouregal did see. He sees ALL .
Zem is love. Zem is life.

Just kidding, but Mod Jack did confirm Zem is on Page 9, so he'll likely witness Zamorak return in full power (but weakened by conflict).

I wrote that text, and although your interpretation makes sense, that isn't how I meant it. I probably could have worded it better.

Azzanadra isn't saying he wasn't there. He watched what happened to Zaros. He doesn't believe that what he saw was Zaros's death. He believes that what he saw was Zaros retreating out of his body before its destruction. There was no evidence to support this belief, but it turns out it was correct after all.
