Yet you are (always) downplaying the effect of
- lighting bots so they are on almost 24/7
- advertising bots
- (til) advertisement board manipulation..
as if it is all normal and nothing.... these are things legit players can't compete with...
Its the equivalent of you using a script that auto prayer switches at inferno and then telling the guy that is trying firecape for the first time "oh just do it and get good"
=> playing legit we can't compete against the cheating and corruption
That is in no way comparable. Hosting is a facet of the game entirely built around familiarity and community-building. It requires no playing skill whatsoever. Infernal cape is not earned by people skills or how many people you have in.
A better comparison would, perhaps, be streamers who bought gold or rwt and get hundreds of viewers. Which we all know is a thing. Here's the catch: I am a streamer, and I only get 5-10 ppl in regularly. At first I only got 1-5 and you better believe I blamed those people with bils DMin, just like you are blaming established hosts of cheating. But I was patient and built a community. The twitch recommendations is the ad board, rigged for bigger names. Familiarity too. The bots and gold farmers built [some of] those big name accounts, and they had ad bots and ppl they could pay with their bought money to advertise their stream. They could stream all day cuz it was full time job. I realized I had to stop whining, and engage my viewers, do better content, and connect with other streamers. I suggest you do the same. You can blame all day but even with the ad board gone and bots somehow disappeared for good (which will never happen, and it's not jagex fault), I still would be going to the hosts I know and you still will have to build a community.
This is a better comparison than botting for infernal cape. And hopefully it enlightened you a bit.
