Kind of mind blowing to me that permanent status even exists, let alone not helping people who contact Jagex support. Not to mention when you fill out a support forum there is literally a box to check to remove permanent ironman status. So they are definitely aware of this problem. In a game where the theme seems to be creating your own journey why permanently restrict people. Not everyone has time to just make a new account or even the desire. Surely Jagex of all people should know how long it takes to get an account to endgame. People spend years of their life playing the game and you don't expect them to possibly change their mind about the way they'd like to play the game. Not sure what good comes of locking the status anyway. High scores will always be there even if someone de irons and its not like being an ironman will save items from being stolen if an account is hacked. The only possible benefit I can see is maybe stopping an account from becoming a Vorkath bot or something but even that is a stretch. Jagex please help these people who just want to enjoy the game on these accounts that they've put so much work into.
