The Temple at Senntisten required the following quests...
- The Tale of the Muspah
- Missing My Mummy
- Defender of Varrock
- Curse of Arrav
We don't have any of em in osrs
Prayer is fine as it is atm
Jagex is quite capable of changing the requirements.
Yes, but the quests story would not make any sense without those previous quests?
I could brag about my achievements down here, I just choose not to
Jagex is quite capable of releasing curses a different way.

No one said they had to release it identical to how it was in RS2, but without the prerequisite quests. They could always add a quest in between to tie it together, release the RS2 quests as is, change some dialogue in Temple of Senntisten to allow for it to make sense, or simply release Curses through a completely different method or different quest altogether.
This thread is about releasing the quest Temple at Senntisten though, not just adding curses. So that 3rd option you're suggesting is useless.
Changing the dialogue would make it a completely different quest, and would therefore not be the Temple at Senntisten quest, which the OP is requesting.
So yeah, in my opinion we need all of those other quests ingame in order to add this one.

I think it could be released without all the stuff in between. Really, what did those quests give us that made them absolutely necessary for the events in The Temple at Senntisten?
Tale of the Muspah introduced us to Jhallan, Wahisietel, and the Mahjarrat as a whole, but weve already had plenty of quests where we interact with Mahjarrat. Missing my Mummy was totally irrelevant, we already know all of the backstory about the Mahjarrat being originally from Freneskae and serving under Icthlarin before switching to Zaros. Defender of Varrock didnt bring a whole lot other than being our first interaction with Zemouregal. The Curse of Arrav is probably the only quest of that list that had any real impact since things actually happened rather than just sitting on the sidelines and observing as we did in Defender of Varrock.
Even though The Curse of Arrav did have some impact, again, it could be done separately since none of the events within were crucial to Temple at Senntisten.
As a further point, look at the Corporeal Beast. It had a quest series leading up to it and yet here we are with Corp and no backstory quests. No one even cares that it was brought in without the quests.
Old School Runescape will eventually need higher level armor. Check out my suggestion for
Level 80 and 90 Armors
and let me know what you think! Feedback welcome!
Despite being started at OSRS, i did play rs a lot in the RS2 era, i think curses would be a nice addition if balanced
We could get those storyline quests maybe condensed into a single quest of higher difficulty and bigger lenght (ofc through polls) and requirements as the rewards are top level, as i think things look and feel better not droping from the sky but having some backbone to support them.

Oh, some of us really do.

I loved curses for their bad-ass animations and the raw energy they seemed to fill your player with. OSRS just doesn't seem like the platform for a curse-like update though. Maybe something else?
The whole thing about bones being cheap is utter garbage... they're cheap in RS3 but they're expensive as hell in OSRS something like 3.3k ea. That's like 13gp/xp. 170m is a lot considering gp in OSRS is worth more

I agree with you that the curses should return AND be nerf as well, however, as Barca suggested, we can't really add a quest even if we want the reward so badly... The quest has to follow a certain logic and if their is too much of the story line missing, we might as well try to develop a new quest then simply add the "Temple at Senntisten" since the story will make no sense.
But, don't get me wrong, I do support this idea, it just that I think the curses should be introduced in a different way. Maybe through a completely different quest.
The shadow of truth and justice will always triumph.
