Soul Split should not even exist, nor should Leech Energy or whatever it's called. If it were a
I would support it if those two prayers didn't make the cut and the Range and Mage equivalents of Turmoil were added. It would be nice to have some end-game prayer content.

Let me explain to you guys who support this why this is a bad idea:

-Curses are objectively better than prayers. Once you get curses and 75-80 prayer, there's literally no reason to use regular prayers ever again. That's bad game design.

-This would be like if there were a spellbook that came out that made one of the existing spellbooks completely obsolete. This hypothetical new spellbook would be able to do everything this other spellbook can, except better. I don't think it takes a genius to figure out that, once again, this is terrible game design. It was terrible game design when they were first introduced, and unless curses would be seriously reworked and nerfed before being implemented, it would be terrible game design if they were introduced now.

-There already is end-game prayer content: Spirit Shields, the Dragonbone Necklace, Rigour, and Augury.

I say this as someone who had access to and used curses back in the day. I didn't realize how terrible they were for the game then, but I do now.

No support all the mobs and bosses with good loot are too easy. This would cause drastic inflation. Level 60 alts will start farming zulrah to shit and zulrah will be like 10m/hour with no risk. I need my blue charms back.

As much as I loved the quest and the lore it brought to light, I think Jagex's position on copying content from RS2 is pretty clear unfortunately.

It would be interesting to see if any fresh ideas for prayers could help to form a new prayerbook (judgement as suggested for raids 2 wasn't too successful, noted).

Your argument has some major flaws.

- Why are you assuming curses can't be rebalanced to be a trade-off to normal prayer? It would actually add a lot of variety.

- Entire premise of this paragraph relies on a faulty assumption of the first.

- Level 77 is only 10% of the way to 99, that isn't endgame. Items are not prayers, and even then, we only go up to level 80 items.

- Just because you had access to curses, doesn't make your argument more or less logical. So did I.

@Chdata

1. Where the hell did curses have tradeoffs? The whole concept was to take every normal prayer, buff it to be insanely overpowered, and then call it a curse.

2. Yeah and 75 isn't even 10% of the way to 99. Should we add in Drygores from RS3 that one hits everything with this combat system? End-game should be unlocked at 75 and only have its full potential unleashed at 99 which is more prayer points in this case.

3. Everyone had access to curses and every broken weapon in Pre-EoC. I have a feeling that you're only asking for this since you can't PvM without it. I'm coming to this assumption by looking at your stats. I have 99 prayer on my main and found it to be well worth it. The only way I'd support curses is if it had every curse removed except the protect item lol. They broke the game.

The only reason I liked curses was because they made my account way OP.

It wouldn't be healthy for curses to come into osrs. However, a prayer that offered healing for a percentage of a player's hit, while replacing all overheads and not acting as a smite might be nice for something like slayer or bossing.
