Then don't train the skill if you don't want your level to go up.

But other players will, & the ability for nearly all players to be attacked within the Wilderness will be lowered, even for such menial abilities.

Then the meta changes and they'll have to find another "sweet spot" level.

Well seeing as the Wilderness only goes to around 50 levels, that would be kinda hard, & for such low rewards as your offering here, wouldn't be worth it.

Really, not that big of deal.

It is as to reiterate, OsRs is mainly focused around PvP.

You can claim otherwise if you like.

I think the rewards are fine, anything else would be too OP. Heck, I thought the Rune Dragon was kinda stretching it with how good it is. But if you don't think training the skill would be worth it, don't. If you don't want to train it to raise your level, don't.

It's as simple as that.

Let's see, you said there 50 levels in the wilderness and the best level to be is 70, right? That means you can fight anyone from level 20-120. IIRC, Summoning would bump max level up to 138, 12 levels. So at level 82, you can fight anyone from level 32-132. 99 Ranged or Magic alone gets you to level 50, so honestly, not being able to fight level 20-31s shouldn't be a big deal since they aren't even worth fighting.

If PvP is such a big deal in this game, like you say, then you shouldn't even be fighting unless your stats are maxed for your chosen combat style anyway. So largely inconsequential.

There's a greater picture involved here than just me.

That's 12 levels either way, so it actually equates to 24 levels.

No not true, as the Wilderness is based around 50 levels, your dynamics would throw it will out of whack just for some superfluous attributes.

"It is as to reiterate, OsRs is mainly focused around PvP. "

...Says who? I see you and G0zz say stuff like this all the time, but you never provide any evidence or source to back this claim up. Did one of the Jmods say this? Did one of the Gower brothers say that Runescape was ever mainly about PvP? If Runescape really revolved around PvP, the Wilderness would be a lot bigger than it currently is. Besides, PvP is pretty stagnant at this point yet PvM is thriving and has always been bigger than PvP. I'm not sure how anyone looking at this rationally could say that OSRS (or any version of Runescape) is mainly focused around PvP.

Okay, I get it, you don't like the reworked skill idea but I made sure there was something for everyone in there and you're not everyone. That perk you highlighted would benefit anyone training woodcutting or grinding logs for profit.

You don't have to like it but PvP isn't some delicate balance nor is it the game's focus. It'll survive a few more combat levels, it's not as big of a deal as you're making it out to be.

It's not just about PvP, although it would likely mess with PvP balance, so I'm not sure why you're dismissing that. How about stam/energy pots? Those would plummet in price due to Terrorbirds. I think that was mentioned earlier, but I'm not sure if you ever rebutted that argument.
