My suggestion is short:

Give the spells used with the Trident of the Seas base XP. It costs about 350 gp per cast and no base XP is quite silly, IMO.

About 34.5-42.5 base xp should do the trick. You need 75 magic to use it. Fire wave is is lvl 75(42.5 base xp) to use it. Fire wave costs 250gp per cast, Trident spell thingy costs 330-350ish gp per cast.

I see no reason not to.

I think all comments regarding "devaluing Magic" are irrelevant as NMZ won't get nerfed.

EDIT:

I posted the wrong numbers, wooopsie :)

I was hoping that you could release dungeoneering ino 07, without the chaotic rewards. #1, i miss dungeoneering and i'm sure many others do, and #2, people want rewards such as the bonecrusher in the game. Maybe we could have dunge be the same way it was on release (pre keybag!) (without the glitches) and rework the rewards. 07 definitely doesn't need chaotics. I really want to emphasize this point. Don't add it in as a skill, add it in as a minigame of sorts with a very strong incentive to do it, so we don't create dead content! Let me know what you think guys.

Hello jagex, my name is Jerrid, I've come to think of a few great ideas to add to the game, content wise, here are my idea.

Instead of a Grand Exchange, lets look for an alternative, the grand exchange currently puts a set price on all items depending on how often it's bought and this then causes the economy to slightly crash and upset players with item prices, I propose something called an "Auction House" where players can buy and sell item(s) by placing a starting bid on the items auction as well as having the option to set a 'Buy now' price so players can buy an item without having to try to out-bid other players, let me explain how the mechanics of this might work.

The player would have to choose a starting bid and/or a buy now price, then the player would then have to set a time duration for the item(s) auction (eg: 3 hrs, 6 hrs, 12 hrs).

Depending on how much the starting bid and/or buy now for the item(s) as well as the duration of the auction for such item(s) will decide how much of a cash deposit the player will have to pay to enter the item into the auction house.

if the item(s) sells then the player receives the money for the sale of the item but does not get the deposit back.

If the item does not sell then the player will be refunded their deposit and item.

if the player cancels the item(s) auction, the player receives the item back but not their deposit, any bidders will be refunded for the auction cancellation.

I would suggest for auction deposits that the price not be too high or too low, so lets say for example a 3 hr auction has a base 5% deposit, then depending on how much the item(s) starting bid/buy now price will add more percentage to the deposit.

My goal with this idea is to see something added to the game to allow players to buy and sell items easier without having a set price for them, thus keeping the item market stable, this might prevent future item scams as well or at least slow them down.

Yours truely. OSRS Mr Pked.

hey =)
I've been thinking about some incentives to make more people use PVP worlds.
I know the ideas that I'm going to say are not new and/or original and that you might had people suggesting them before, but I will explain them anyway (These ideas are quite simple as well):

-Increase the amount of experience that a player earns while skilling/training on a PVP world and increase the drop rates on PVP worlds.
For example (this is just an example so the %'s could be whatever jagex wish) :
-75% more xp (1.75x more xp) while training/skilling on a PVP world.
-100% increase (2x drop rate) on drop rates while killing NPC's on a PVP world.
-150% more xp (2.5x the xp) while training/skilling on the wilderness of a PVP world.
-200% increase drop rate (3x drop rate) while killing NPC's on the wilderness of a PVP world.
-Double the value of the respawn points on PVP worlds' wilderness (for example, put babydragon bones respawn on the floor of the bone-yard lvl23 wildy instead of big bones and double the amount of rune rocks).
-Turn untradable items into cash/equivalente tradable item when someone dies/gets killed (for example void), because it is very unrewarding when someone tries really hard to kill a guy with untradable items and gets nothing.
-Reduce the shops' prices on PVP worlds and alot more the prices of shop items on the wilderness of PVP worlds. This would make people go to PVP worlds to buy shop items and take some money with them.
-This simple ideas would help build and maintain a better food chain on PVP worlds with benefit to everyone.

-Do this without introducing brawler gloves or anything of that kind so that anyone could take advantage of PVP worlds and not only hardcore Pkers.
-Make it available to everyone, without any kind of requirement, just as another normal world (Without brawlers gloves or any other item required etc..).

This would incentivate people to do more skilling and/or PVM on PVP worlds and would turn the game much more exciting and original.
Since most of the people on oldschool are pkers they would enjoy the game much more.
The players and the economy of the game would adapt well to this small changes and the game would be much more stimulating.
The bot problem would also be diminished, since people could just kill the bots whenever and wherever they want and due to the fact that they are much easier to kill than players for obvious reasons.
This updates are also far simpler than creating new features to the normal game which some people may dislike (and even making them quit) and that could get the game out of balance (like nightmare zones did with runes).
Also it probably requires far less man hours of coding.
Since you actually need to bring your own runes and items to kill the beasts and/or the players and to train on the PVP worlds it would make everything more energizing.

This way everyone can choose to benefit from PVP worlds making them much more popular.

These are just some thoughts i had, thank you very much for reading =)

I really don't know what most people think about it but, even though I prefer old school runescape, I miss the Grand Exchange. It was so great that you didn't need to be shouting at the bank stuff like "sell pure ess 1k"...

Life would me so much easier in old school if we had the grand exchange, just like runescape 2010.

As I said, I don't know what most people think about that but this is what i think. Maybe it should be made a poll about this.
