About G.E.
Another idea for it.
G.E should be like a real life stock market, for it to work properly players should be able to see the offers of the specified item they are looking for.
The lower selling prices and the higher buying prices, and it would be price preference.
The problem is that it would be a 24/7 stock market what would lead to player/bots to make huge profit of it, so to prevent that, it should be implemented a fixed tax for using this system plus a lower one to the amount of items you trade.
The idea of it is not no replace the player to player trade system, G.E should be a easy but expensive way to trade, and should works as a parallel market. That way price manipulating would be a difficult thing to do.
What I suggest is nothing more than a Real Life Stock Market implemented to the game, because if it works in RL why wouldn't it work in OSRS.
