I want to submit an idea, but I don't know exactly where do do that. I hope this will be reviewed here with the appropriate attention.
Splashing at the Cave Kraken provides a poor ambiance to Old School Runescape and should be removed from the open-instance gaming environment. The Trailblazer League makes this perfectly clear where players just jump in and start attacking Cave Krakens, which were already actively receiving damage by a single League player. Knowing all along that if they interrupted the active player long enough, engaged players would leave in pursuit of pertinent drops. The ‘splashers’ revel in their adoration to bully committed players within the ironman conditions.
If this facet of the Cave Kraken is by design, then I implore the development team to revisit the overall concept and reevaluate how it conforms to the current Old School Runescape model. Old School Runescape cannot become the premier MMORPG with lackadaisical conditions such as this.
If this was not purposefully implemented by design, the ability to infinitely splash the Cave Kraken should be removed. Players can splash in a multitude of areas if they want to gain magic experience without any effort. They do not have to passively gain experience by blocking or interrupting the gameplay of others. Splashing was removed from Lumbridge due to the impression and affect it brought to (new) players in the game. I find the Cave Kraken to be connected in a way to Lumbridge: an environment where players find a nostalgic connection. The Cave Kraken is the first, long-awaited, slayer boss to get unlocked. I have played the game for over 15 year; however, I can identify with newer players in their disdain and frustration with this regularly occurring predicament.
This idea is not about making Old School Runescape more difficult or restricted, there are dozens of other locations offering the same opportunity; this idea is about authenticating the genuine gameplay of Old School Runescape.
