In regards to the update on "The future of Bounty Hunter and PvP" .
When we talk about "It’s time to make a change. Not just to Bounty Hunter, but to our approach to PvP as a whole. PvP is a cornerstone of Old School. Currently it deserves better, so we’re taking a step back and considering its place in the overall game.
Our goal is to determine a long-term vision for PvP. Rather than move from one release to the next, we want a clear direction for the next few years that will inform how we design content moving forward. "
I have been playing OSRS for a good 14 years now and to be very honest the best step forward in regards to PvP I honestly feel that one way to solve this is re-release Seasonal Deadman mode and Deadman mode tournaments. Here's why.
1. Most players that play Bounty Hunter, do play it because they enjoy PvP, but with deadman mode, what makes it more interesting is the hunt, to find players around training spots, unknown areas etc, to fight, to get good loot, rather than having a constant loop of banking at edge, gearing up the same gear you're going to use to PK again at edge, jump over the wildy ditch, and teleport when you're out of special attack / food. PvP in deadman mode would be beneficial to the community as I believe it was a huge hit when you guys release it and I don't see any reason not to again.
2. Players miss deadman mode a lot. Let's no talk about World 345, as it's a dead world to be frank with less than 100 active players on that server daily these days. Max players are usually just doing bank fights or killing new players that just joined after they ran out of their 12 hours protection given to them to "Catch up" , hence making them quit the game mode in the end as they lost their bank they grinded for within that 12 hours time span. In other words, World 345 should be either 1, have a reset, a fresh start OR 2, re-release the seasonal deadman mode and tournaments again for players to have proper PvP enjoyments once again.
