Hi, I have been playing f2p for a long while. Honestly, f2p is not a proper reflection of what it is like in p2p. And there is nothing much to do in f2p afterall. Therefore, I have a suggestion for a f2p player to have a slight experience of what it is to be a member.
Here what I would suggest:
First of all, the f2p players must complete all f2p quests and achieve a total level of 500. After that, a special quest will appear which I suggest requiring the usage of all f2p non combat skills and to kill certain monster (a quest that is very tedious and tough, with a storyline of why there is an addition of so many skills and why it is needed to ensure the survival of your character (something like that) to bridge the gap between f2p and p2p) The storyline could be there is this devil long time ago who set a curse to the world to forbid the p2p skills to be ever used again. You will need to defeat the devil to lift the curse and gain back the forgotten skills. However, after defeating the devil, you can only recover part of the usage of the p2p skills.
After completing the quest, the f2p player will be exposed to all skills but with minimum usage. (just like f2p skills with very little things to do while compared to f2p
skills in p2p world.)
The difference is that despite being able to train p2p skills in f2p world, they are only limited to f2p accessible areas.
I believe that in this way, we as f2p will have the motivation to carry on to buy membership either via bonds or direct subscription as we have a sneak peek of the large p2p world. In addition, we can have a preview of the demands and what is it like to be a member so that they will not be in lost while transitting from f2p to p2p. This is just a brief idea that I would suggest. I dont know if it is feasible or not, or it requires lots of work to do it. But I hope you would put it into consideration for the sake of f2p players.
