"Clan Chest" is only the name. I'm simply suggesting an optional shared bank.

For PvM, you're practically required to join Oblivion to find consistent raiders. By your logic, any feature is optional such as the use of Twisted Bows to complete the inferno. You could always get the cape in a maple shortbow. my 8th alt

I would argue that's a false equivalency, as my suggestion is a QoL addition as opposed to a BiS one.

I can see the good and the bad here.

Scamming of course, but just as cc ranks allow you to monitor who has what permissions of authority and usage of the clan chat you should be able to do the same with a "clan chest".

I don't like the idea of another object being placed in the bank, maybe it can be accessed by speaking to the banker behind the desk, as if there were a vault back there, that way we wouldn't clutter up the banks anymore than they already are.

I like the idea of adding some more community practices to the game to make it feel like a more cooperative effort, and this idea might be a good thing.

Maybe limit how many items (not including stacks, or even imposing a stack count limit on withdrawing) can be withdrawn per day or something based on cc rank.

I also do hate that there isn't a mailing system in osrs so this would be pretty beneficial for those moments as well.

Another option to limit scamming could be by creating bank tabs in the clan bank that are accessible by each clan rank or by it's superiors.

Tab 1: Recruit
Tab 2: Corporal
Tab 3: Sergeant
Tab 4: Lieutenant
Tab 5: Captain
Tab 6: Generals

All in all if it were implemented correctly I would vote for it.

It seems like what you are asking for is simply more bank space.. albeit shared, it's still just more bank space..

How would this be limited to clan use? If it could be limited to only being used by clans, why should it be.. and what size of clans could use it?

There seems to be a fair few solo players in old school these days and screwing them over by offering more bank space to only clans.. or clans of certain sizes.. doesn't sound like a supportable idea, IMO.
