I still have yet to see the part in Mod MMG's post where he excluded the old way of trading as not part of the 'old school" vibes and rules. I know Jagex didn't have a full back up of Runescape in 2006 but the reason why most players in 2013 were asking for a 2006 server is because the GE did not exist in the year of Runescape. Jagex just used the silly excuse in 2015 that we should just poll the GE just because it existed in the year of 2007 and this is 2007scape even though we wanted 2006scape for the sole reason of avoiding the GE being added into the game. I will post Mod MMG's post that talks about this down below for you all.
Why have you released the 2007 version of RuneScape
when we have been asking for a 2006 version?
We don’t have many full backups, and don’t have any from 2006 at all, unfortunately. This version from August 2007 is the most complete (most technically viable). It also sits in a sweetspot in time which has most of the features players have asked for,
but is still before the release of the Grand Exchange, which is the cut off point we’ve seen mentioned the most.
