If Jagex really wanted to maintain the ‘old school’ vibe and rules of Old School Runescape like they said they were going to in 2013, then why isn't there a Permanent No Grand Exchange Mode worlds? And don't tell me that hardly anyone would play on these worlds because hardly anyone plays on the Permanent Deadman Mode world and they keep that world going. These OSRS Permanent No Grand Exchange worlds would be exactly the same as the other OSRS worlds just without the Grand Exchange and you will have to make a new account for this world that will only be usable on the Permanent No GE Mode worlds.

These worlds will receive updates!

By the way, you can't split a playerbase if hardly anyone will play on these worlds. The reason why Jagex should make these worlds is to honor the long time players who have stuck with the Runescape franchise after all these years. After all, there is no version of Runescape with no grand exchange anymore after Jagex closed down Runescape Classic and unlike Runescape Classic, these worlds will have updates.

All I am asking for is one F2P no GE mode world and one P2P no GE mode world.

i second this the people who don't want it are just lazy and don't want to have to buy or sell there own good

also want to say that jagex never cared about osrs they didn't even want to do it and thought it wouldn't last a week

i honestly think the ge makes it easier for bot to offload stuff

also whats the deal with the tax jagex is skimming gold now from everyone the fuck?

then they take that gold and what sell it back to someone via bond lol idk just weird man

When OSRS got released I was very against the ge. Now though? I can see why people like using it. They aren’t being lazy, you’re just slapping a label on your fellow players who are trying their best to get their skills up. Would you rather stand in the sea of color text again getting scammed?

Without the ge this game wouldn’t have lasted THIS long, the game would’ve been dead and gotten no new content, probably shut down like classic. Would you rather have an accurate dead snapshot of 2007 (which honestly wasn’t that oldschool to begin with) or a modern game in the style you know and love?

So am I lazy because I use the ge? Let’s compare stats.

id rather have the sea of text and if you get scammed it's your fault most scams are very obvious

and yes i do think people that demand there be ge are lazy because they don't want to spend the time to buy or sell good

merchanting used to be a big part of the game that was just cut

imagine wanting to spend time playing the game. not standing in the ge spamming text all the time

shocking....

but no these worlds would be dead. the ge is a huge QOL

if you dont want to use the ge, then dont, but having a server dedicated to no GE, is just silly

the reason you and other like you don't like to merchant is your not good at it

and your comment that ge worlds would be dead is bullshit

jagex said the samething about osrs so i guess they should have never made that cause no one will play osrs

i merch / flip for majority of my gp

just because there is ge does not mean you cant merch anymore.

flipping and merchanting arent the same to me

flipping you don't really put any effort in you just punch in some numbers and get what want nearly right away

merchanting you put in more work finding a buyer or seller it's rewarding

and i know you will say some dumb shit like well you can still sell things to people no one is going to buy things from you for your price when they can just use the ge

i think not having the ge would bring more player to player interactions it makes the game more rewarding when you can't just buy whatever you want right away or offload right away

but i would like to know why you are so against even trying a world like the one proposed by the op could you explain?

Dude buying and selling goods is LITERALLY THE FUNCTION OF THE GE.

And you called players who use the GE LAZY. You didn't go to the hiscores and compare our stats. I beat you out in so many skills, you aren't even LISTED in many of them. Pipe down. Normally I wouldn't make such a comparison but you were the one who called US lazy.

How about showing your dedication for a no-GE mode and start an ironman? Or are you too lazy for that?
