A back and forth debate can be a great thing. But derailing by arguing about the way someone is posting or making them prove something that really has nothing to do with the topic is not going to lead anywhere good.

I fail to see how it isnt? Because it's not a choice that they had. If it's a choice that they chose to miss out, then it is, then that is when it's their fault for missing out. However not being around to do it is not that, and such those "it's your fault for not being around" responses "come off as condescending and do not contribute or help the matter in any way", according to a forum mod, which i agree with.

Bear in mind, though, that without the players who did play at the time, the game wouldn't have continued to exist for those who came after. If I was one of the latter people, I'd not be complaining about missing out on an optional item, because it's much more important that the game survived for me to see it. > )

They should have been playing. They could have read news articles on the runescape website or any other platform where runescape is discussed. If you have time to sit on your ass you have time to read and be informed. :P WAAAGH!!!
