Well i for one cant support any rerelease of any holiday item, no matter if its a different version or not.

Holiday items are meant to show your acc true age, hence why rereleasing them would ruin that.

My apologies, the way i worded some of my sentences gave off a different meaning completely.
What i meant by the quoted part of my post is that: I agree that the exact item shouldn't return but a different item with the same function should be released. E.g the candyfloss maul is similar to an Easter Carrot in terms of functions. Does that clear things up a little? Do you support items that are "clones" of older holiday items to enter the game? Imo it's the perfect solution. It doesn't devalue the older item + it gives both newer and older players a similar item that they can enjoy.
Now of course it doesn't apply to or mean much in terms of outfits; as an outfit has no function, they're just clothes to be worn.

I also understand that you don't want different versions of the same item as it can 'devalue' the specialty of the older holiday item if the newer one is better. However in terms of a different coloured "santa suit" entering the game, there's no solution to that problem. If they release a different design of it, some players will complain that the newer design looks better. So the only option is to release the same design but a different colour which again would cause people to complain that their older santa suits got devalued.

All in all i still think a black / evil / anti-santa suit should be released to the main game similar to the old school game to give newer players a similar outfit to have in-game. And just so you know, i do own the 2008 santa suit.

Yes and if a black santa suit were to enter the game it would show that you have played the game in xmas 2016, not 2008 like the original santa suit would.

Please do keep in mind, holiday items were originally created as fun items players could play around with. Although it does show your account's age in a way, it wasn't made to do so.

Umm no it doesnt.
Reasons to release a new santa suit (anti-santa preferred):
- New festive outfit
- Gives players that missed out on the original an alternative
- will match the black santa hat.
- Looks good? (based on OSRS ant-isanta outfit)

In no way does this devalue the old one:
1. These outfits aren't tradeable in the first place. No bank will be lost. Yes it might have a sentimental value (see 2.)
2. Those who have the original still will be the only owners of them. Those who care so much can still show off in their old santa suits showing that they've played back then. Adding a new santa outfit doesn't negatively affect anyone's gameplay, quite the opposite actually. Newer players will have the new outfit and the older players will have both the old and newer outfit.

I just don't understand the unsupporters tbh. Sorry not trying to be mean or anything but so far i am yet to see a valid reason why this is a bad idea and why the outfit as a reward couldn't be implemented into the game. So far what all the haters have in common is that they're afraid their original items will be less special. It's because of players such as yourselves care so much about their exclusivity, cool items and ideas wont ever enter the game.

Considering i dont even own the red suit, you really cant put me in the same group as the ppl who do.

Ive just come to realize that adding alternate versions of something somewhat devalues them.

Case in point, the red santa hat. Iirc, it used to be worth alot more but ofc ever since the new one got released it dropped in price.

Please allow 07 to have some exclusive content and items. If i were to support this i wouldnt want a black suit as thats an 07 thing.
