There are many sets that I'd only want one piece out of. My current main set incorporates pieces from several different loyalty point sets. Hood from one, recolored boots from another, etc.

They're thinking of this from a business perspective, I know they are, thinking "bwahaha, if we make that tophat and monocle require buying the entire super-pack, we'll get more money for each purchase!" Ah, but less people will consider it worth the purchase just for the hat.

I think it's at least worth trying with a few popular sets to see whether it boosts or lowers profits. How about just letting me get the CAPE from one of the higher tier sets, since it seems loyal players aren't allowed cape overrides.
Headcanon Haven, where everything is made up and the points don't matter.

I've also bought complete outfits before just for a single item, and frequently wear an outfit featuring parts from two or more sets. So I think this is something that should be done if at all possible.

To be fair though, buying all the components separately should cost more than buying the complete outfit as a whole. And there should be a delay of maybe 6 month between the original outfit being sold, and then the components being made available to buy separately.

I agree for smaller packs like the Feline. But the Hero, Assassin, etc. packs no. The big packs should be more exclusive. Maybe add loyalty to them as well but not break them down.
This was my original thought, and after a while. I changed my mind. The more I thought about it, the more I thought, with all the outfits people could make by combining them and with the keepsakes would be incredibly interesting. This would be huge for runecoin purchases too.

items are already on there twice, the guthix robes of sorrow and rememberence vestimen*s in a cheap and expensive form *both are the same in model forms, just the expensive version has a recolour, some extras and the cheap one doesnt). They can both be bought aswell which probably has caused some unfortunates to lose money, as buying the expensive one should (lock) the cheap one as you already have it.
- The reason why this works is because while they are identical in design, they have a different code. But I did think of a way to fix the issue of this is an expansion of what you said. If a person buys one piece from a pack, that pack is then locked out. Also to keep the interest of packs greater than individual pieces, they could have it so that the packs would be 10% cheaper than buying all pieces individually. This way you should think a little before buying in bulk.

This is slightly false. Look close enough and you'll see that the coloring between both guthix robes are different enough that their not quite the same on the area that you'd normally recolor. Basicly what this means is that you get 17 colors for buying both VS 16 colors for just getting the one, even if the color change is super minor if anything at all... Vestments of remembrance is worth the duel buy if you can afford in my book any way. :p

Yes! I'd hate to have to spend $50 on something where I only want to combine the leg item with a top I already have.

Support =)

They just recently had a sale for 65% off all packs, so they weren't even $50 then, and the full pack is worth it any way. Also they never were $50 you could spent $40 and get them I think, but $50 is a better deal. I splurged on the sale after exhausting around 7 bonds in game...

I disapprove.

As do I.

You want items that aren't in packs, there are plenty. You want something that's being sold as a pack? Well unfortunately you'll need to buy that pack. Not every sale/piece of merhandise or seller is going to cater to your whims when they provide so many other things not in packs already.
